WoW Upgrades - The
Item UpgraderUpgrades give you an increase in certain statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an
Item level Upgrade by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.
The upgraded gear typically has a greater value for trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect model.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.
The upgrader is located in all major cities, and is accessible at any time to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each few weeks.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item however, they are always cheaper than purchasing new gear. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will costs 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are functional items that can be used to level up weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. Players can purchase them from item upgraders NPCs for various currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor using the help of button, which will display a preview of the item at its next
upgrade item level in the event that the player has enough materials.
Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot for the item and the current level of the
item upgrader mod. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.
A lot of locations offer upgraders for items in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and the chance to obtain an entirely new recipe. The discount for upgrades increases according to the number of items that are being upgraded. It can also be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or complete quests.
Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items available in the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades must be acquired through a variety of means, which is both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.
In Season 3, a number of new features were added to the upgrade system. After a player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level, will cost less. This applies even if the items come from an entirely different set of equipment.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced as well, but is only available after certain milestones are achieved.
Crests
When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW players have a variety of options. Flightstones are a currency that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a crucial component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for gear of a certain rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and simplest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, contingent on the kind of equipment that is being upgraded.
Players can obtain crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, which involves walking around and performing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses for gear that is used in the endgame. These crests can then be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.
Utilizing these new currencies isn't too complicated, but the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. Once a piece of gear attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it no longer requires Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible level for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
Another notable modification is that crests have one use, so it's important to make use of them in a responsible manner. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear you can find and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to items like rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The account-wide discount is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
