There are a variety of boosts you can get with an upgrader. These could include stats and bonus bonuses. These bonuses can be incorporated into weapons, armor, and trinkets. They can be used to enhance a character's abilities or to add a new element of variety to their character.
The World of Warcraft upgrade system allows players to upgrade their gear by paying currency to an item upgrader. The system was first introduced in Mists of Pandaria, and continued with Warlords of Draenor. It is a convenient method to boost the level of your equipment, allowing you skip the tedious grind of questing and avoiding numerous wipes in Mythic+ dungeons.
If an item is upgraded its basic type will change. When upgrading a normal item, it will result in an item that is Exceptional while upgrading an Exceptional
item upgrader mod will create an Elite version of the base item. The item will keep the stats it had prior to upgrading, and will receive an additional bonus from its new base type. This bonus will be randomly selected from the following categories: a chance to obtain a weapon with an increased damage range and a chance to gain an enhanced reload speed or the chance to obtain an increased defense roll.
The number of upgrades you perform will determine the amount of extras you receive. Each upgrade will increase the number of extras by a maximum of 3 points. Additionally, every upgrade will also increase the main stat by one.
Certain upgrades also give an additional random boost in addition to stat enhancements. These secondary boosts can be extremely valuable and should be taken into consideration when deciding on which items to upgrade. Some of these boosts can only be used in specific designs (such the Whistan's Shield, which is for FB Sorcs) Some are valuable to collectors.
Certain items come with inherent boo, which is not beneficial when upgraded, for example the Goldwrap which provides more slots for potion. They are usually upgraded to increase the value of a perfect or near-perfect item.
Costs
There are a few expenses related to upgrades of items. The first cost is the upgrade itself. This cost depends on the item's new ilvl and the number of perks it will gain and is often expensive. Upgrades to a higher level (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) are costly.
The other is the cost of the materials required to upgrade. The items used are typically either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21+) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing certain Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). The amount of these materials required can be seen in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.
Upgrading an item is complicated and requires time. It can take up to 8 hours depending on the size of an upgrade. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated using the new ilvl of the item, perks, and other properties. This calculation determines the latest Armor Class bonus, damage dice, as well as other important statistics. In certain cases an upgrade may grant additional benefits. These perks are offered on a table.
Rarely, the new advantages gained will cost more than one perk slot; in these situations the upgrade will replace the perks with the highest cost. The upgrader could also make other adjustments to the item, like changing the type of damage it deals to its weapon, or adding or eliminating an operational or unwieldy option. The cost for these modifications is based on the new ilvl of the item, and it may require a specific material, such as an adamantine alloy.
Success Rate
The upgrade of an item is dependent on chance. Like any random system, there is a possibility that it will not succeed. There are several methods to increase your odds of success. These include the use of an
item upgrader mod dubbed an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of extra items to the upgrade.
An Upgrade Pity is a product you can purchase from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the chances of an
upgrade item being successful by some percentage. It's similar to the "luck bonus" that certain items provide however it is more solid. It can be added to any weapon or armor and can be used up to three times.
You can also add additional materials to the upgrade to increase the chance of success. The materials are displayed in a window above the + button. There are some limitations. The maximum amount of material you can add is shown directly above the + button.
Another way to increase the chances of an upgrade achieving success is by using an item called a Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item is beneficial when you own an item of equipment that has reached the maximum level for its tier or is close to it. It will let you upgrade that piece of gear to the next level without worrying about it breaking.
If an upgrade fails it will be returned to its original condition. This is usually an upgrade, but it could also be an upgrade. You should save an upgrade until you're close to the maximum level of an item.
There are several items in the Kafra shop that can be used to boost the odds of an upgrade succeeding. You can increase the chances of success by upgrading your equipment multiple times with HD Oridecon and HD Elunium. The rate of success will be enhanced if you boost your chances of receiving a Double Mint by Shoe-Minting five times.
Failure Rate
The upgrader for an
item upgrading allows players to add a second card slot to their equipment. These slots can be used to apply an enchantment or upgrade an item. It is important to note that not all items are upgradeable. The rank of an item will determine the rate at which it can be upgraded and enchanted. The higher the rank, the more zen and the items you'll need to upgrade it.
This system can be quite expensive, particularly for top-of-the-line gear. Upgrades to armor and weapons can cost as much as 100,000 Z or 100 Carnium. As you advance in rank, your success rate decreases. However, you can utilize cash shop items to increase the chances of upgrading your item effectively.
Normal Upgrade is a fundamental upgrade that can only be used on armor, weapons and bikes. It uses different core grades depending on the kind of item. Generally, lower grade items will require low grade cores, while higher grade items will require more expensive cores.
You must have the proper number of cores before you can do an upgrade normally. Click the button next to the item you wish to upgrade once you've got the cores. The upgrade window will show a percentage indicator of your odds of success. The percentage is based on the upgrade level and kind of product you have selected.
You can also opt for an insurance policy that will safeguard your equipment in the event of a failure. This protection isn't free however it will cost less than the cost of a new item. The protection can only be used only once per upgrade and will last until it is used again.
The interface for the item upgrader can be somewhat difficult, but isn't impossible to navigate. The main menu appears on the left side and the upgrade window is on the right. The arrows to the left side of the UI represent the various phases of the upgrade process. Click the question mark icon to seek help if you are unsure what you're doing. The process of upgrading can take up to five minutes.
