green power mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles
Greenpower creates manufactures and distributes a variety of heavy- and medium-duty electric vehicles. This includes school cargo buses, buses for cargo and shuttles.
EV Star is a zero-emission vehicle that offers a lot of personalization. It's also fully FTA certified and Buy America compliant. It has a range that is unbeatable, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery systems.
EV Star
GreenPower Motor Company produces a full line of high-floor as well as low-floor all-electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which can be used to accommodate many different upfits and bodies for multiple applications. The platform's clean sheet design approach allows the best battery pack placement and a lower center of gravity, which results in better payload to range ratios.
The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The refrigerated trucks of class 4 have a single interior wall structure and a higher insulation level than traditional trucks, allows for seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer lifespan. The EV Star REEFERX provides superior capacity for cargo and a payload that is industry-leading to range for
Green Electric Scooter zero-emission goods or passenger transportation.
GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system,
Green Mobility which will allow fleets to quickly change to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star can also be wirelessly charging up to 75 kW.
We were capable of testing the EV9 on a local highway for several hours. We found it easy to drive and comfortable to drive over long distances. The EV9 is able to suppress the sound of traffic and wind driving on the highway. It is smooth on ruts and humps. The acceleration is quite quick, and the car comes with adjustable regenerative brakes that allow "one pedal driving" by simply lifting off of the accelerator.
The EV9 has a great range and can be fully charged in about three hours at home, or using any commercial charger. The driver can choose from two operating modes: eco mode and sport mode. The eco mode is a preference for the torque and cruise control, while the sport mode is designed to maximize speed and handling. Both modes are fun to drive and offer an experience unlike any other for those who've never been in a vehicle with an electrical system before.
GreenPower offers several other eVehicles, including a multipurpose all-
electric mobility scooter fastest minibus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used for executive shuttles, microtransit and transit vanpools, buses,
green Power Scooters or paratransit vehicles.
GreenPower produces about 10 EV Star busses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 electric vehicles. GreenPower will increase production to meet the needs of the Biden Administration which wants to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA compliant. This means that they are eligible for federal transit assistance grants. We will be following the AV Star as it goes on its demonstration tour in the coming months. We will share more details about this revolutionary EV.
