Armor items can also be upgraded to boost their performance. This can increase the defense base of a helm or chest while belts and gloves can boost their strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it may reroll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading, along with their respective values. This means that a change from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in the weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will be hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button on the item menu with the circling arrows. The item upgrades will be rerolled and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's level or connect to the status of your account.

Armor

Be aware that armor can't be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll have to concentrate on enhancing it to increase physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. It is also recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still be wearing by the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

Upgrading a trinket is an economical alternative to buying new ones. One can upgrade their trinket for as little 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same level of base as the previous trinket however, it will also come with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they're no longer needed and allows players to increase their power and worth over time. They can be traded among players and are a viable alternative to gold.

Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, followed by their secondary items and finally, other items of gear will not be replaced in the near future (for instance an earring or cloak). When choosing the items to upgrade, players must also consider their class's preferred statistics.
