Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpgHe tests and evaluates cleaning appliances. His focus is on robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. Multitaskers are an excellent choice for those looking to eliminate mopping from their to-do lists. They have impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other options, making it easier to maneuver in tight corners or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.

It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as good. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high rate and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger objects such as books and toys that have been damaged.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't create the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It is simple to install, and it works well. However when you purchase this vacuum solely for mopping it is important to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it a great option for homeowners looking for a highly effective, versatile and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This allows it to map out your home and also identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean methodically and intelligently. This results in an effective, consistent cleaning that's also fairly fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach spots. They also have a stretchy side brush that extends to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be dried and washed to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the odors.

Another feature worth mentioning is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction strength and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it must make, which will affect how fast the device will move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and carpets.

This device is expensive but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to remember, however, that the device is subject to regular expenses, such as mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For example, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum cleaner reviews vacuum mop is a top Amazon rating and comes with an array of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with a power button which doubles as the 'Clean button' and a 'Home button to send it back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and wash and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. Its powerful performance, smart navigation, and long battery life make it easy to maintain a clean house with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two components, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module which is equipped with a microfiber pad. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming however it does mean that you don't need to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature was its accurate map of your floorplan, which it uses to create a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair from pets. It was able to collect many of the hair sheds from our cats. It even made it into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. The noise levels were low, and there were some nice jingles to let you know that it was beginning and getting its work done.

Its main drawbacks were its simplistic app and the requirement to switch out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app isn't able to hold multiple maps, which could be a pain for homes with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it also has unique features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its huge dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dustbin and an 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base has several control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to toggle a child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally become so entangled with an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert in its application.

Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use and Best robot Vacuum that mops can cause mildew or mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a major departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome view in a market that is dominated by bulky, boxy units.robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleaning-the-room-while-wom-2024-11-07-13-20-10-utc-min-jpg-original.jpg
