Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've always wanted to buy a robot vacuum now is the time. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with apps-based no-go zones. its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its most notable innovation is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It makes use of AI to detect objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of the object it comes across so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.
The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off with your voice.
The design is also superior to the other models. It features a sleek, top piece that resembles a toy rather than the loud and annoying
robot vacuum cleaners. Clean Base
automatic floor vacuum Dirt disposal System is also
self cleaning vacuum cleaner-emptying which can cut down on cleaning time.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ was quick to took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a little grit. Most robots can't do this. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's shedding hair.
Although it's not as efficient as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the J7+ is a solid option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however we've found it be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it can be difficult to tell whether they're functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your best choice is probably hybrid. These robots come with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. These bots also have many additional features, including smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The downside is that they can be pricey at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. While it may not have some of the more premium features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent choice for those who are willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is an area where many cheaper robot vacuums often be a bit sloppy. The Q5+'s navigation system is also excellent, with few misses on walls and corners.
Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled with a handful of buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map or change the labels of rooms.
If you select the Q5+ it comes with a brand new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively easy. It also has an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This isn't a necessity for the majority of people, but it's one that will aid in keeping track of your robot's maintenance intervals easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the
best combo vacuum in the industry, but it's expensive.
It's a tiny base station that looks stunning and is able to be concealed when not in use. The primary selling point of the station is that it automates many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require you to perform this.
Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the only robovac I've tested that does well at picking up debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, meaning it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of your home. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for a
robot vacuum that does everything.
However, if you're looking to save money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of other great choices on the market which include a variety of eufy models priced substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is a bit more expensive however it comes with many more features, like the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, which provides a better overall vacuuming experience on bare floors carpets, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right balance of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping, carpets and other surfaces at an affordable price point. It's easy to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to leave the dock close to an outlet for power and enough space for it to move but.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise, which means it will fit under many sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is a little less flashy than some of the rival models, and features sleek black finishes and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs an area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.
The way the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from other models. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and what it isn't able to access. If it requires a recharge, it will automatically return to its base and resumes cleaning where it left off.
The eufy G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged more quickly and has the same battery life, while providing superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with a set of boundaries that keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is, however is less expensive and much simpler to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be empty as often and it's less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
