Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday
Robot Vacuum DealsNow is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top-rated models will be on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its biggest advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It makes use of AI to identify objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of the object it comes across to let you know to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the
best robot vacuum for tile floors robot mop we've ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills easily, leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don't would like. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it with your voice.
Its design is a step above the competition, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great to speed up cleaning.
In our tests the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. It even was able to take small gravel and sand, which most other robots couldn't do. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shed.
The j7+, though not as sophisticated as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it can't clean the stairs, is still an option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and it can be difficult to tell if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a robot
vacuum deals cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors, a hybrid is the
best robot vacuum deals option. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. They also have a range of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The downside is that they can be expensive at retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. fail to impress. This is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although it might not have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) however, it's a great choice if you are willing to make some compromises to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is exceptionally soft when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an excellent option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper
robot vacuum cleaner vacuums fall short. The Q5+'s navigation is superb, with only a few mishaps along walls and in corners.
The Q5+, just like other Roborock products can be controlled with a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barrier and no-go areas and alter your home map, or re-label the rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ it comes with a brand new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively simple. It also comes with a large LCD display, which is nice to have when setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people however it will aid in keeping track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly clever in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and function are some of the best on the market - but it's also pricey.
The base station looks nice and hides it when not in use, and its size is relatively compact. The main reason to buy the station is that it automates many tasks, functions and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot fully charged and clean.
Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tried that does an excellent job of cleaning up debris from plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it could get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It's not able to climb stairs as well as competitors, either and it doesn't have a dock that lets the user to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need a
good robot vacuum vacuum that does everything.
If you're looking to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options available. A lot of eufy models are substantially less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with additional features such as stair climbing, a full-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums that have the right combination of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpeted floors, as well as mopping functions at an affordable price. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to leave the dock near an electrical outlet and ample space to allow it to move around however.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it will fit under many sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is more subtle in comparison to other models. It has a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.
The way the G30 cleans is what separates it from its rivals. It uses a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. It then returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning the area it left.
The elegant G30 isn't without its faults however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring expenses, charges faster and has a similar battery life while offering better performance on floors with no carpet and low-pile carpet. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with a set of boundary strips to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand is less expensive and much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and it's less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
