This projector is excellent at grayscale OOTB. The most minimal DeltaE error is 2.3 (which is barely noticed by a trained eye). It also displayed a lot of subtle color differences for instance, when Adam hit his light staff into the ground.
Other features include 3D support keystone correction, and autofocus. These features ease the installation process. It also supports BenQ's standard configuration options. However, it does not have a lens shift or vertical focus. It does have an image warping feature that can aid in less-than-ideal installations, but it does affect the quality of the image.
GP500 Platinum
The GP500 also features several common and uncommon convenience and quality of life features such as Keystone and Corner Fit which digitally warp the image to aid in less than ideal installations, a Toslink optical Audio Out Jack that turns off the built-in speaker when headphones or an alternative speaker system is plugged in such as Keystone and Corner Fit, and Bluetooth function that lets it function as a wireless transmitter for music playback. 3D playback can also be supported.
Subjectively, I found the GP500 to have very accurate grayscale OOTB. It measured an DeltaE of just 2.3 which is less than what's seen by the human eye but still quite good. The Dynamic Contrast function was a great help in bringing depth to Life of pi's limited night scenes. The color display was fantastic. Avatar was also extremely impressive.
GP500 Black
The GP500 is Pinlock Max Vision-ready, and tear-off-ready as well as opening tabs on both sides of the shield. It also comes with an e-shield lock to prevent it from opening while riding (or in an accident). The rear of the helmet has an adjustable double-d-ring fastener which is free of tools.
The auto-focus function was very swift and worked flawlessly and produced clear, crisp images with lots of distinct shades. It struggled with the darker night scenes in Life of Pi, but otherwise it produced a very cinematic feel.
There are no race rep graphics available for the GP500, but you can buy Airoh Sectors and Cosmos with a black-colored finish. You can also purchase it with Rockstar, Drive and Check graphics to give it a more track-focused look.

The GP500 White also has several regular and not-so-common quality of life features, such as Keystone and Corner Fit (which is digital image warping). These features can be helpful in less than ideal installations since they allow you to display a flat picture. However, they can affect the image quality.
