This is the model you need to choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.

It's fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in one go. Its 8,000pa motor is able to remove dirt hair, pet hair, and poop easily. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as effective. The mop rotates at a high rate and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's easy to install and works well, but this is something that you'll need to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a variety of features.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This enables it to map out your home and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and efficiently. This results in a thorough, consistent clean which is also relatively fast.

It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers that help to shield certain areas of your house from being cleaned with a mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. It was able to collect some of the hair that our cats shed, and even made it into the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots had struggled. The app was too simple and you had to change the modules every time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app isn't able to hold multiple maps, which can be a hassle if you have a home that has a variety of floors. The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it does have certain unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its massive dock which serves as the robot's charging base and the housing for two water tanks, a clean sink and an automatic vacuum cleaner and mop 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base has a few control buttons that let you manually start cleaning tasks or recall the robot vacuum best, or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognizing objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can sometimes get so entangled with an obstruction, such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. This is a rare event however it was frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert in its app.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually swap between the two, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that the mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxy units.
