The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

These multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those who are looking to eliminate mopping from their list of things to do. They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to go for. It is smaller than other options, making it easier to maneuver in tight spaces or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.

It's extremely fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in one go. The suction motor's 8,000pa makes short work of picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the dual side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as effective. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which is useful for getting into tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't make the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and is effective however it's something you'll have to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great option for homeowners looking for a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and methodically. This will ensure a thorough and consistent clean and is also fast.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach many different surface areas. This includes corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach spots. They also have a stretchy side brush that can be extended to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be cleaned and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the odors.

Another feature worth mentioning is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the strength of suction and select between a back-andforth, or a more random patterns. You can also choose the number of passes, which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also deactivate the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and rugs.

This device has a fairly high price tag but has a variety of innovative features. It is important to remember that the device is subject to regular expenses, such as mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad needs to be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes an array of physical automation features. It has a power button that serves as a general "Clean button as well as a Home button that will take it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empties the trash bin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who just wants an organized home that doesn't require much time doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean house with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It is able to perform mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two components which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping unit that is equipped with an elastomer pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping might seem a bit outdated however, they mean you don't have to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature was its precise map of your floorplan that it uses to draw an outline for cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up pet hair. It was able capture a lot of the hair shed by our cats, and even got into some of the nooks and crannies on our stairs where other robots had struggled. It was fairly silent and also had a few lovely jingles to let you know when it was starting or completing its task.

The app was too basic and you had to alter the modules every time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app can't save multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive best rated robot vacuum vacuum that can be found in our test, but it has some unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its massive dock which doubles as a charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink, and the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base also has a variety of control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum mop cleaner robot.

Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it gets caught in an obstacle like a power cable draped over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. While this was rare but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't come with a "stuck" status alert in its application.

Another possible issue is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot cleaner thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for the market that is dominated by boxy units.
