The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and its smart navigation technology are superb, with the robot vacuum cleaners reviews being capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only issue is that the robot tends to crash into objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick look at the history of cleaning on the app will show you exactly what the robot cleaner completed, where it's traveling, and what obstacles it has encountered or avoided.

A convenient LCD screen on the docking station informs the maintenance tasks that are required like emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank by using a 600ml bottle filled with Eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can operate for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last 136 mins in standard mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. You can also view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is well laid out and is easy to comprehend however we would have liked to be able to differentiate between a vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. It's not like the model from last year this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could overlook.

As with the other two Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining if they are walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child lock and a home button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank will empty itself, and the bin is auto-refilling.

The only downside I've discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount itself to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, track the battery life and maintain your components. You'll need to jump through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with innovative features, superior suction power and advanced mopping capabilities. Its smart design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while saving time.

The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the top options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry debris. It comes with a mop of top quality that cleans hard floors without the use of a pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet while in use, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.

The app is intuitive and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see floor plans and mapping and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to clean and has numerous convenient features, making it a perfect choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It can also detect if the mop pad is at its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation before it spills.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive models available, but it packs in many additional features that distinguish it from. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub that utilizes two mops that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it comes with an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.

The mop mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This is a great feature as it stops the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.

There's a wealth of settings available, including the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a variety of preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or you can make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options for customizing the cleaning routine, and there are many functions that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of relying on an individual setting.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on the market, sporting metallic and white design that is elegant and stylish. It's a bit heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list - at 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and is sturdy and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors as well as in corners. They can also extend to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
