One of them is that the Q5's navigation system doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to become entangled in socks and shoes and couldn't navigate rooms with a lot of people efficiently in our tests. It also doesn't have cameras that let it see the corners of an area.

Still, it's very good for those who want to save money on a Roomba from iRobot and have a bare-floored home or office. Additionally, it's quiet and can be used when you're at work or going to school. The only thing it lacks that you can't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. It's also less effective in mopping, as it relies on disposable wet wipes that don't hold on very well and can't handle dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with a self-emptying dock, though. If you need to mop, the mopping pad can be changed for one that is wet in just a few seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming capabilities into a sleek, compact package. Its nimble navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it quick to clean and efficient in dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also features self-emptying dustbins with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the most efficient robotic hoover for carpets, however it isn't as effective as some of its competitors when it comes to deep cleaning robot mop and vacuum.

It comes with advanced features such as Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads autonomously).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum to score a perfect 10 in our tests due to a mix of high-tech sensors that include a camera, structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mops.

The X40 as with other iRobot products, is easy to operate. It comes with an intuitive mobile app interface that integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only downside is that the X40 still a loud unit. This could be a problem in the mornings before work or during the night when you're trying to sleep.

It's also quite expensive, but it's not as expensive as Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra, both of which are equally powerful and better-looking. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that is very efficient, but it's going to cost you more and produce more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the line robot mop and vacuum. It comes with a variety of advanced features that make you forget about your chores. The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floorplans and identify obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its top competitors. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards however this was not completely foolproof in our tests, and was often confused with power cords or obstructions.

Its vacuum cleaner has an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to accomplish the task. It also comes with "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates how hard the vac works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of your home depending on the degree of dirt they are.
