3. IRobot Roomba X40

With an elegant circular design that appears like a regular Roomba than the competition's boxy units, this mop and robot vacuum is one of the most appealing looking in our reviews. The newest model from iRobot happens to be its smartest, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot mop and vacuum. It has a number of advanced features that help you forget your chores. Like Ecovacs the range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that takes care of both mopping and vacuuming. It comes with a multi-function dock that automatically empties the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank, and washes and dries its mop pads.

The smart robot employs the combination of LIDAR and structured light to create the floor plan and detect obstacles, and navigates more effectively than some of its premium competitors. It also has a camera mounted on the front for real-time hazard detection but this was not foolproof in our testing and was sometimes confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum has a high suction capacity of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to get the job done. It also comes with an attribute called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts cleaning frequency for various areas of the house based on how dirty these areas tend to be.

If you have a larger home, it's worth choosing a model that has the option of cleaning zones or spots. This lets you instruct the robot hoover and mop on which part of your house needs to be cleaned with the help of an app or voice command. A stair mode can be beneficial if you have large furniture. For families that are busy, a recharge function and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum to continue from where it left off can be extremely useful.
