The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should select if you're looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other options on this list making it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through cleaning.

It's fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in one go. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to clean dirt, pet hair, and poop with ease. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help draw out debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by much. The rotating mop spins at a high speed and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful for getting into tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys or books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is easy to install, and it works well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum and mop vacuum to mop you must be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a range of features.

The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the home, detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and effectively. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively fast.

App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction intensity and choose an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.

This device has a fairly expensive price, but is packed with a wide array of advanced features. It is important to remember that the device incurs periodic costs in the form of mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For instance brushrolls need to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad needs to be replaced every one to three months.

This robotic autonomous vacuum cleaner has an excellent Amazon rating and comes with an array of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as the 'Clean button' and a 'Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home clean without spending too much time on chores. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation and long battery life make it easy to keep a clean home with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it is able to handle both vacuuming and mopping. The robot is divided into two components which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping unit that includes a microfiber pad. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

Our testers found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. It was able to capture an enormous amount of hair that shed by our cats and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was quiet and had some pleasant jingles that indicated when it was about to start or finished its work.

The biggest flaws were its lack of sophistication and the need to change out the modules whenever switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app doesn't have the capacity to hold multiple maps, which can be a pain for homes with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have distinct features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its enormous dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin as well as an 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base also has a variety of control buttons that let you manually start cleaning or recall the robot vacuum cleaners best or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two of the buttons to toggle the child lock, which is a nice touch for parents worried about children playing with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at finding objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets caught in a blockage, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It will not work until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its app.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big change from the utilitarian all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
