Robots That Vacuum and MopRobots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills and staining) in one go without the need to switch out devices. They can also reduce space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is easy, and the quick-start guide will have you up and running in no time with a full dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and also vacuums well. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room.
You could, for instance, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and its smart navigation technology are superb and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only issue is that it tends to hit walls and objects at full speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning on the app will tell you exactly what the robot has completed, where it's traveling, and what obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance jobs must be completed like emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank, by using a 600ml bottle filled with eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can operate for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you view every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's top robot mop and vacuum. Unlike last year's model it comes with an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could be unable to pick up.
This Roborock model, just like the other two I tried is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes dual cameras that can detect objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its course automatically and clean around the objects without missing a step.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can send the
robot cleaner with mop to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml of water tank. The water tank will empty itself, and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only negative I discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. You can replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for washing manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power and cutting-edge mowing capabilities. Its innovative design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while saving you time.

It has a mop of top quality that cleans hard floors without the need for pads. Additionally the X40 is very quiet during operation, only producing occasional bursts of noise when switching between modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.
Another noteworthy characteristic is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, which lets it get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean curved furniture like table and chair legs. It can also get under furniture with low profile which makes it an ideal option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush also automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots. This is a nice addition that assists the X40 avoid damaging floors with the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Contrary to other robots, which are restricted to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, and vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and understand, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, switch modes, view floor plans and maps, and control mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features that make it an excellent option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It will also tell you if the mop pad is at its maximum capacity and alert you to the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It does have many features that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This utilizes two mops that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and dirty spots.
Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is beneficial as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that we've yet to see on other
robot vacuum cleaners uk vacuums and mop models and could be a
good robot vacuum method of keeping your home hygienic for longer.
There are plenty of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app lets you set these preferences or use the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers a variety of options to customize your cleaning routine. It also has several functions that are not available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on market, with metallic and white colors that is elegant and stylish. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots listed on this list however it's not excessively heavy. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
