There are many enhancements that can be obtained with an upgrader. These can include a variety of stats, as well as a number of extra bonuses. These bonuses can be used on weapons, armor and trinkets. They can be used to improve the capabilities of a character, or give a new dimension of variety to their build.
The upgrade system in World of Warcraft allows players to increase the quality of their gear by paying currencies at an item upgrader NPC. The system was introduced in Mists of Pandaria and was extended with the release of Warlords of Draenor. It's a simple method to increase the quality of your equipment, letting you skip the tedious grind and avoid the countless wipes in Mythicand Dungeons.
When an item is upgraded, its type of base changes. Upgrading a normal item creates an Exceptional
item upgrading and upgrading an item that is Exceptional will create an Elite version of the same base item. The item will retain its pre-upgrade stats, and will receive an additional bonus from its new base type. The bonus is randomly chosen. It could be a weapon with an increased damage range, an improved reloading speed, or an increased defense roll.
The number of upgrades you perform will determine the amount of extras you receive. Each upgrade boosts the additional benefits by an increment of 1, up to a maximum of three. Additionally, every upgrade will also increase the stat that is used to determine the main one by 1.
In addition to the stat increase certain upgrades can also give a random secondary boost. These boosts can be very valuable and should be taken into consideration when choosing which items to upgrade. Some of these boosts can only be used in specific designs (such a Whistan's Shield for FB Sorcs) Some are beneficial to collectors.
Some items come with built-in boos that is not useful when upgraded. For instance the Goldwrap provides extra potion slot. These are usually upgraded to add value to an item upgrader kit [

Costs
There are a few costs related to upgrades of items. The first cost is the upgrade itself. This price is contingent on the new level of the item and the number of perks it receives and can be costly. Upgrades to a higher level (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) can be expensive.
The second is the cost of the materials needed for an upgrade. These items are usually Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons or a specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor Quests. The amount of these items required can be seen in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.
It takes time to upgrade an
item upgrades. Depending on the size of the upgrade, it can take anywhere from 8 to 12 hours. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated by using the item's new ilvl, perks, and other properties. This calculation determines the updated Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other crucial statistics. In some instances the
upgrade item will provide additional benefits that can be chosen from a list of available perks.
In rare instances the upgrade will replace only the most expensive bonuses. The upgrader could also make other changes to the item, for example, changing the damage type of its weapon or eliminating an operational or unwieldy function. These changes are based on an item's ilvl, and may require special materials, such as Adamantine.
Success Rate
The upgrading of an item is based on chance. Like any random system there is a chance that it won't work. There are a few methods to increase your odds of success. This includes the use of an item known as an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of extra materials to the upgrade.
An Upgrade Pity is a product that you can purchase from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the odds of an upgrade succeeding by some percentage. This is similar to the luck bonus that some items have however it is more reliable. It can be added to any weapon or armor, and can be used up to three times.
It is also possible to add a variety of additional items to the upgrade, increasing its chances of success. They are displayed in a separate window, above the + button. However, there are some limitations to this, and the highest amount of material that can be added is displayed right above the + button in the UI.
A Blacksmith Blessing, or an upgraded version of it, can be used to increase the likelihood of a successful upgrade. This item is useful when your piece of equipment or weapon is close to or has reached the maximum level of its tier. It allows you to upgrade that piece of equipment to the next level without risking it breaking.
If an upgrade fails the system will be returned to its original condition. This is usually a downgrade, but could also be an upgrade. It is a good idea to save upgrades for when you're near the maximum level of an item, and then use it as an option last resort.
There are a variety of items available in the Kafra shop that can be used to increase the likelihood of an upgrade succeeding. For instance upgrading an equipment with HD Oridecon or HD Elunium repeatedly will give you an increased chance of success. The chance of success will be increased if you can increase the chance of getting a Double Mint by Shoe-Minting five times.
Failure Rate
The upgrader for an item allows the player to add a second slot in their equipment. These slots can be used to upgrade an item or apply an enchantment. It is important to remember that not all items are upgradeable. The rank of an item will determine the rate at which it can be upgraded and enchanted. The higher the rank, the more zeny and items you will need to upgrade it.
This system can be quite expensive, especially for high-level equipment. It can cost upwards of 100,000 Z and 100 Carnium to upgrade an armor or weapon. As you rise in rank, your chance of success decreases. You can increase the chance of upgrading an item making use of cash shop items.
Normal Upgrade is a basic upgrade that can be used on armor, weapons and bikes. It consumes different grades of core dependent on the kind of item. Most commonly, lower grade items will require lower grade cores and higher-end items will require more expensive cores.
To carry out an upgrade that is normal it is necessary to first have the appropriate number of cores. Once you have them, click the button next to the item that you want to upgrade. The upgrade window will then show a percentage indicator of your odds of success. The percentage is based on the level of upgrade for the item and the core kind you have selected.
You can also opt for an insurance policy that will safeguard your equipment in the event of a failure. The cost of this protection will vary but will always be less expensive than the cost of buying a new item. The protection can only be used once for each upgrade and will last until it is used again.
The interface for the item upgrader can be a bit difficult, but it's not difficult to navigate. The main menu appears on the left and the upgrade window is on the right. The arrows on the left side of the UI represent the various phases of the upgrade process. If you're not sure what you're doing, use the question mark icon to seek assistance. The upgrade process can take up to five minutes.
