EV Star
GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete range of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles, which include lower-floor and high-floor models. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which is able to accommodate various body designs and upgrades for a variety of applications. The platform's design is based on a simple paper sheet, which allows for optimal placement of the battery and a lower center of gravity. This leads to better payload/range ratios.
The EV Star REEFERX was developed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries as well as catering applications. The refrigerated trucks of class 4 with a single wall structure inside, and higher insulation than conventional trucks, allow for
green mobility scooters seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer service life. The EV Star REEFERX has a higher capacity for cargo, electric Mobility scooter fastest,

GreenPower has joined forces with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system. This will allow fleets to seamlessly change to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star can also be wirelessly charging up to 75 kW.
We were allowed to test drive the EV9 on a local highway for several hours and found it to be simple to drive, and comfortable to drive for long distances. The EV9 is able to suppress the sound of traffic and wind on the highway. It rides smoothly over ruts and humps. The acceleration is surprisingly quick, and the car comes with adjustable regenerative brakes that allow "one pedal driving" by simply lifting the accelerator.
The EV9 has excellent range and can be fully recharged in just three hours at home or with any commercial charger. Drivers can select between two modes of operation that include eco mode and sports mode. The eco mode prioritizes torque and cruise control while the sport mode maximizes speed and handling. Both are fun to drive and provide a unique driving experience for those who have not driven an electric vehicle before.
In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other e-vehicles available, such as a multi-purpose, all-electric minibus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be utilized as an executive shuttle, transit or micro-transit vanpool, bus or a paratransit vehicle.
GreenPower is already producing about 10 EV Star buses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is working to replace their fleet of older diesel vehicles with 100 electric vehicles. GreenPower will increase production to meet the demand of the Biden Administration which wants to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be tested by Altoona and FMVSS-certified. Buy America compliant and ADA conforming. This will make them eligible for federal transit grants. We will be following the AV Star as it makes its demonstration tour in later this year. We will share more information on this innovative
