Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary
Bentley's custom coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique key case to mark the centennial of the company. It's made of Dark Stained Burr Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes a flying "B" paperweight, keys, and an album of never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.
It's a great present to greet a new owner of their opulent vehicle.
Aesthetics
As a design-centric company Bentley takes its aesthetics seriously. It's evident in the exact position of its quilting, the selection of leather from by-products of cattle, the wood from sustainably managed forests and the innovative patterns on its levers. As you approach a vehicle like the Continental GT W12, its stunning design is accentuated by carefully curated lighting.
The Continental GT is
bentley continental key fob's most sophisticated open-top car. The rear tonneau of the Continental GT, for example it was the largest piece ever of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.
Bentley is the most sought-after car brand in the world due to its distinctive design and workmanship. The company continues to push the boundaries with the latest technologies and hand-crafted products. This includes the introduction of an electronic tilt-opening rear sunroof as well as a hand-crafted Apple iPad docking station.
Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019, 100 years after the marque was founded. The marque, which is owned by Volkswagen independently following years of dispute with BMW and BMW, had planned a number of special launches and events to celebrate the occasion. The marque planned a series of special events and launches to commemorate the historic occasion before the pandemic was declared a priority.
Design
Bentley is famous for its luxurious and ostentatious cars and even keys are designed to stand out. The Bentayga Key is made of sterling silver and features a large B' symbol to inform everyone that you drive a Bentley. It's also engraved with the years 1919 and 2019 to mark the company's centenary.
The Mulsanne was redesigned and improved by Bentley Mulliner to become the ultimate Grand Touring car. The rear seats are designed to give passengers the most comfortable and private experience. They were inspired by the luxury private aircraft. A custom heating, air conditioning, and ventilation system was designed to provide each passenger with the ideal climate control setting.
Alongside a series of refined styling updates The Mulsanne is powered by twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre W12 engine that produces 560bhp and 479lbft of torque. This power is paired by a brand new suspension system that gives Bentley's famously smooth ride.
Bentley has launched a new specification for cars built after the year 2019 in order to celebrate its centenary. It is known as the Centenary Specification. This includes cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests, seats and other areas of the car. This adds to the celebration. A bespoke

Function
The Bentley Mulsanne key comes with an opening button for the trunk, as well as a button which starts the car. The key also has a button to turn on the parking brake. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors while parking in a tight space. This feature makes it easier to get in and out of your car.
Each key takes about two days to make. It is cut by hand shape, sewn, sealed and polished to give the highest-quality finish. It is lightweight and durable and matches the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar with the Volkswagen Phaeton's large car key, but it feels more heavy and premium.
Secure-A-Key is also included to protect against keyless entry theft. This device is inserted inside the remote-control key fob. It stops it after a couple of minutes of inactivity. This stops thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that can unlock and start the vehicle.
Bentley's unique design reflects the company's values that include high-quality craftsmanship engineering expertise, as well as cutting-edge technologies. The headquarters in Crewe are home to over 4,000 workers who are responsible for the design, development, and production of Bentley vehicles. They apply their expertise that have been handed through generations to current automotive technologies. This is British manufacturing at its best.
Personalisation
Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to create their own vehicle. The guests sit at a collection of images referred to as "mood stations" and choose a selection of photos - from scenic views to sporting events that are inspiring to them to design their own. When each selection is made, a pattern will emerge, which reveals the models and colors of the custom Bentley.
The configuration that is created is stored on individual R.F.I.D.-enabled keys which are handed out to guests in a handmade key case. The keys can also be equipped with
2005 bentley continental gt key Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps that illuminate the door's opening path with the owner's name and/or emblem as they arrive at the vehicle.
Bentley claims it takes about 500 man-hours in order to create and assemble the average Mulsanne. The key to this time-consuming effort is a deliberate decision to take advantage of modern technology. Instead of using a machine to place the perfectly matched leather seats workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. Drivers are required to park their vehicles manually, rather than using sensors built into the vehicle to guide them into perpendicular and parallel spots.
In the course of the event, Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization options with one particular example that was the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays homage to the founder William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited edition cars include an item key that shows a piece of the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
