The best double buggy (
xypid.Win) Strollers
If you're expecting twins or have two children of different age groups, then a double buggy can help you out and about. The best ones are simple to maneuver and handle rough surfaces and kerbs.
These vehicles also come with features like large sun canopies and transparent hoods, as well as adjustable seats.
1. Baby Jogger City Tour Double
The City Tour 2 Double stroller is the smallest in the Baby Jogger range. It's designed to travel and easily fits through the majority of normal doors thanks to its slim design, it's also one of the most lightweight double buggies that are available, weighing only 14lbs when folded. It's perfect for trips with a toddler and a newborn because you won't be able to over-exceed airline baggage allowances. It also folds to the size of a travel bag so that you can put it away in the back of your car when not being used.
The one-handed, Z-shape folding is a breeze and it's extremely compact once you master it and takes minutes to fold. However our tester discovered the auto lock to be a little confusing. As the handlebar doesn't lock into position when you press it, it struck her legs when she was using it. She also thought the handlebar was on the shorter side. This is particularly true when a large bag for changing hangs from it.
This double stroller isn't as lightweight as other travel buggies. It has a full variety of features, and is among the most versatile
double strollers available on the market. It's compatible with two carry cots (available separately) It also offers multiple recline positions, and a UV 50+ canopy. You can even add a bassinet to one or both seats and transform it into a travel set-up.
The four composite wheels made of rubber are ideal for pavements and urban terrain, but they're not built for off-roading. They slid with long grass and gravel and there's a lack of clearance between the wheel and bracket so mud was able to get stuck easily. Our tester loved this vehicle and was able to climb some pretty muddy hills.
2. iCandy Orange
The iCandy Orange is a premium
double infant strollers buggy that is the best in design and versatility. It is a must-have for parents who are looking for cutting edge design, quality and style that lasts. It has a luxurious, interchangeable canopy that is water-resistant and ventilated. It is available in trendy colors such as Pistachio, Fossil, Latte and Rose on an Jet Black frame. The option to add a built-in ride for older siblings is also available.
The 2021 update includes several changes, including improved manoeuvrability and an even larger, better shopping basket with a re-designed bumper bar and leatherette cover. The seats are very comfortable and have a sculpted appearance. The seats are also adjustable which means they can be set to meet the needs of siblings. iCandy have introduced the first-ever 'cinema' seating system that allows parents to maintain eye contact with both children. They can also be adjusted to face either the parent or the world facing.
It's a heavier tandem buggy, but it's very easy to use and steer, especially on smooth roads. It's stable in double and single mode, and also on sloping ground. It's not as easy to use on public transport because it requires two hands to hold the handlebar. It is also bulky and can't be stuffed into the standard car boot with the seat on, however this can be overcome by careful planning. iCandy includes the footmuff and changing bag in the price, making this an excellent value for parents who are just starting out.
3. Joie Evalite Duo
This is a tandem stroller that is extremely light. It comes with two non-reversible seats, which are suitable for babies until around 3 years old. The rear seat can also accommodate a car-seat.

The Joie Evalite Duo is a great double buggy for beginners because it provides excellent value for money and is easy to move. It is also extremely light, making it easy to push over long distances. It also features a high-quality suspension system, which ensures an enjoyable ride for parents and children.
This fashionable and practical city stroller is suitable for twins, a toddler and a baby or even three children with the addition of UPPAbaby’s ‘PiggyBack’ board (sold separately). Its sleek frame and small dimensions make it perfect for shopping malls and narrow streets in cities. Its swivel front wheel and four-wheel suspension allows it to withstand rough or uneven terrain.
Another good feature is that this buggy can accommodate a car seat in the back, which makes it ideal for families planning on traveling. It has a one-click secure fold and is compatible with a variety of Joie infant car seat. It also has a spacious basket and comfortable seats for both children. The only drawback is that the front seat can't recline completely, which can be a problem for young babies. It's a great option if you are looking for a lightweight and inexpensive stroller.
4. Cybex Gazelle S
If you're expecting twins, this is the stroller you need. It's the first travel system from Cybex and comes with built-in adaptors that make it simple to transform a single
pushchair twin to a
double pram stroller. The upper adaptors can easily move upwards and downwards to accommodate your height whilst the lower ones can be twisted around and rotated, making it really easy to switch from one configuration to another. The Gazelle's seat units recline to a flat position and come with an extended, large UV 50+ sun canopy, which is essential for little ones.
This is the modern multi-purpose stroller which can adapt to your family. It is suitable from birth as a mono-pushchair, and after four years, it can be double pushchair with the addition of a CLOUD Z iSize car seat or a second-seat unit, or Gazelle Cot. The new safety harness with one-pull makes it easy to ensure your child's safety even if you're carrying your baby on your back.
The Gazelle S is unique to other double strollers because it folds compactly with the two seats firmly attached. This makes it simple to store at home or even in your trunk. A large lower basket can hold up to 25 lbs. of shopping, everyday essentials or groceries. A detachable shopper's bag gives you additional space. This stroller is extremely flexible and comfortable for families thanks to its harness that is one-pull and large recline. It also comes with puncture-proof wheels so you won't need to worry about those sudden flat tubes on your adventures away from home.
5. Nipper Double V5
The Nipper Double V5 from Out 'n' About is a new version of the award-winning all-terrain buggy. It was designed for twins or siblings and has recliner chairs that are independent, compatible with carrycots, as well as an ultra-light frame for easy manoeuvrability on bumpy terrain.
The adjustable height handle and rear wheel suspension ensure a comfortable ride for kids up to 22kg. The durable pneumatic tyres, which are easy to clean, give a smooth ride while running. The 360 swivel wheel on the front can be locked into place to make it easier to maneuver around town, and the one pedal brake is easy to use.
Our testers discovered that the Nipper Double is incredibly easy to maneuver, even on uneven terrain or turning into the middle of a busy road. They were also impressed by the fact that both seats recline independently. This means they can be adjusted to fit the individual's needs. This is ideal for napping.
They also liked the fact that the hoods could be moved forward and back, which made them easier to adjust in the sun or to provide wind protection. They did not offer the same coverage as Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It's probably worth having an additional rain cover in the case.
Overall, our testers were impressed with the Nipper double's capacity to let them take their
twin buggy daughters Sydney and Lyla to all kinds of adventures. From seeing wildlife in the forest to rushing to a park for a playdate They loved it. They were also awed by how cozy and spacious the two seats are with plenty of room for growing toddlers to sprawl out in. The lack of parent facing seating and the inability of using a car seat on this buggy were both noted as a disadvantage by our testers. They would also have liked to see a larger storage space for shopping and other equipment.
