The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a great option if you're on a tight budget and don't require a stroller that can be used as a car seat carrier. It features a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also a breeze to push and feels solid in navigating kerbs or woodland paths. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the ultimate lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its super nimble manoeuvrability and fold-down that fits into aeroplane overhead luggage. The latest version has independent suspension on all 4 wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer, allowing it to 'perfectly traverse all terrains and types'.

The frame's base YOYO2 frame along with the curved fabric bassinet and six-month colour pack come together to create a stylish pushchair that is easy to look at, with a subtle but elegant aesthetic and tasteful branding. The frame's weight alone is less than a kilo and is so light you can lift it directly from the box (and do it using one hand).

It's also easy to attach or remove adaptors or attachments - the hood, for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 with reassuring clicks - as well as being machine washable to prevent stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram right from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into stroller at 6 months using the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great choice for parents who are looking for a stroller that is versatile. The Evenflo Pivot can be transformed from a stroller into an actual wagon by flipping the handle. Parents can then choose which mode is best for their needs. The wagon can accommodate one or two children from 6 months to five years old. It has a huge storage basket that can hold everything you need when you are on the move.

The Xplore also has two canopies that rotate from front to back, ensuring ample sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell, which is not as large or deep as other wagons, which means it may not be suitable for long-distance trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore is solid and sturdy, although it does not have as much flexibility as other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competitors and does not secure when folded. It is easy to maneuver, though, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents who are seeking a second stroller that is affordable. It scored well in our Strollers and Multiples Test for its weight and folded dimensions, which means it's lightweight and compact when folded and easy to carry and put into a car trunk. It also comes with an adjustable recline seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions and cup holders for the parent. Other features worth mentioning include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

It did better in our push and turn test than most of the other strollers we tested but is still difficult to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only a direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a significantly larger canopy.

It took us just under three minutes to put together the Delta using a standard manual. None of the parts required tools. It's missing some features that we consider essential for double strollers. They include a large basket, reclining seats, and leg rests that can be adjusted.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the most recent version of Maxi-Cosi's pushchair range and is billed as an urban travel system. It is designed to accommodate infants from birth until approximately 3.5 years old, easily changing between a carrycot and seat with a few clicks. It is compatible with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It includes a light Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and reversible carriage.

It's a breeze to maneuver and the one-hand reclining of the seat and the super large shopping basket make it easy for parents to get their child in and out of the seat quickly. Although it is a small pushchair, it was able to handle the bumps of everyday life well and went through doorways without any fuss.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward-facing position, or they can pivot. This is helpful when navigating rough terrain. When we walked through the stony trail, we let them move and it handled this fairly well, although it seemed more bumpy than the other models on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is best known for its 3-wheeled all-terrain, jogging strollers. However, they also make a broad selection of pushchairs with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is easy to fold and can fit in the boot of a car even with a carrycot attached.

It is a bit heavier than other strollers we tried, however the wheels are made of rubber composite so it feels well-made and sturdy. It is easy to maneuver over various terrains and even with two kids with shopping bags and other things.

The carrycot and the seat both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are showerproof and sturdy unlike other prams' hoods that are bounced back into toddlers' faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it comes with a large basket deep enough to accommodate a changing bag or plenty of food. You can also pair it with the Baby Jogger car seat for babies that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are available separately). The City Tour 2 is a good choice if you want to use a stroller on the go.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that won the hearts of a large number of parents when it first came out. It's an aluminum-framed stroller which can be used from baby's first days to beyond. It has many standout features, such as the capacity of the seat to be flipped between the front facing parent and the outside as well as a large UPF50+ canopy, an eye-shade that flips out, as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis comes with an integrated suspension system that reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made from tough foam and minimise punctures. Our tester found it to be smooth to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets without difficulty.

It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It can also be folded and repositioned for easy transport down the stairs, or in the car's boot. This budget-friendly Single Pushchair sale is simple to use and comes with a fantastic dual suspension. It can be folded with one hand and comes with a handy carrying strap. It's also lightweight and sturdy. The seat can be reclined to many different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress that is suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat comes with two extra-large fixed or flip-out sun visors and both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't ideal because it's not as quiet as Velcro and could wake up napping babies.

The Duet is a side-by-side stroller and can be configured to take twins or siblings (up to a maximum of 22kg per seat). It can be used with two single infant stroller car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode the seats can face each other or can rotate around to face parents, theoretically reducing sibling fights over who should sit with mom and dad. It has a huge bottle holder, gear tray, snack trays and a change mat. It also has an automatic frame lock as well as a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the ideal stroller for parents who like to be active. It's among the lightest running strollers that you can get for your child and offers excellent safety features such as five-point harnesses and a secure wrist strap. It also comes with an innovative twist hand brake that's different from the lever type found on competing models.

The seat is well-padded and offers a large area to sit in, but the depth of the seat is lower than other joggers that we've tested (it's about 10"). The storage bin is equipped with an enclosed zipper to help keep things secure. It can hold up to 10 pounds which is sufficient for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets or infant car seats as it comes, but you can use it right from the start by purchasing adapters to most seats from brands like BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It folds down compactly and takes between 5 and 10 minutes to assemble without tools. The instruction manual is easy to understand and includes multiple languages.
