The Best Double Buggy Strollers
A double buggy is the best for twins who are due or have two children of different age groups. The ideal double buggy is simple to maneuver and is able to handle rough surfaces.
These cars also come with features like large sun canopy and see-through hoods, as well adjustable seats.
1. Baby Jogger City Tour 2 Double
The City Tour 2 Double is the smallest double stroller in the Baby Jogger range. It's designed for travel, and fits through standard doors easily due to its ultra-narrow shape. It's also among the lightest double buggies on the market with a weight of just 14lbs when folded. It's perfect for traveling with a newborn and toddler since you won't over-exceed airline baggage allowances. It folds down to the size of a travel bag so you can tuck it away in the back of your car when it's not when you're not using it.
It's simple to fold the Z-shape with one hand. Once you get used to it, it's small and takes only a few seconds. However our tester found the auto lock to be a little confusing. As the handlebar doesn't lock into place when you press it, it landed on her legs when she was using it. The handlebar was a bit shorter than she would like particularly with a large changing bag hanging off it.
As opposed to other light travel buggies it doesn't sacrifice features and is one of the most full-featured double strollers on the market. It's compatible with two carry cots (available separately) and features multiple recline positions as well as an UV 50+ canopy. You can also add the bassinet to either or both seats to make it a travel system.
The four tires made of rubber are great for pavements and urban terrain. However, they were not made for off-roading. They struggled with long grass and gravel and there was not enough clearance between the wheel bracket and wheel, so mud stuck easily. However our testers still enjoyed using this buggy and it did manage to climb some beautiful dirt hills.
2. iCandy Orange
The iCandy Orange double buggy is the most stylish, versatile and quality. It is a must for parents who are looking for cutting edge design, quality and style that lasts. The Orange is a stunning, lightweight, streamlined chassis that has a massive basket that will easily take two car seats. It has a luxurious, interchangeable canopy that is water repellent and breathable. It is available in trendy colors that include Pistachio, Fossil, Latte and Rose on the Jet Black frame. The option to add a built-in ride to older siblings is also available.
The 2021 update comes with a few changes including improved manoeuvrability and an even bigger, better shopping basket with a re-designed bumper bar and leatherette cover. The seats are moulded and are extremely comfortable. They're also adjustable, so they can be set to suit siblings' needs. iCandy have included the first ever 'cinema' seating design enabling parents to keep eye contact with both children. They can be repositioned so that they face either the parent or the world.
It's a heavier buggie in tandem, however, it's very easy to drive and use particularly on smooth roads. It is stable in both single and
double jogging stroller mode and even on sloping terrain. It's not as simple to drive on public transportation, however, since it requires more than one hand on the handlebar. It's also quite bulky and won't fit into a standard family car boot with the seat attached but this can be overcome by thoughtful planning. iCandy includes the footmuff and changing bag included in the cost, so it's an excellent value for new parents.

5. Nipper Double V5
The Nipper Double V5 is a updated version of Out 'n' About of the award-winning buggies that are all-terrain. It is specifically designed for twins or siblings and has recliner chairs that are independent, compatible with carrycots, as well as a lightweight framework to allow for easy maneuverability on bumpy terrain.
The height-adjustable handle and rear wheel suspension provide the most comfortable ride for children up to 22kg. The sturdy pneumatic tyres that are easy to clean, also offer a smooth ride when jogging. The 360-degree swivel can be locked to allow for easier maneuvering around the town. The one-pedal, easy lock brake is also simple to use.
Our testers found that the Nipper Double is incredibly easy to navigate, even on bumpy terrain or when turning on an area with a lot of traffic. The fact that the seats can be reclined independently was an enormous hit.
They also appreciated that the hoods could be moved back and forward and back, making them much easier to adjust in the sun or to provide wind protection. They didn't offer as much coverage as the Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It's probably worth having an additional rain cover in the case.
Overall, our test participants were impressed with the Nipper double's capacity to let them take their twin daughters Sydney and Lyla to all kinds of adventures. From spotting wildlife in a forest to rushing to the park to play with their friends They loved it. They were also impressed by how cosy and spacious the two seats are, with plenty of room for toddlers growing to stretch out in. The absence of parent-facing seating and the inability to use car seat in this buggy were cited as a problem by our testers. They would have also preferred a larger storage space for shopping and other equipment.
