Replacement UPVC Door Handles
If you're replacing your handles or want to add a bit of extra security, you'll find the right handle for your door. These upvc handles are easy to install and meet the required 92mm centres of multipoint locks.
The backplate fixing centre and the keyhole/lever dimensions are the most important measurements. Compare these measurements carefully with your current measurements prior to ordering.
Lever/Pad
Lever pad handles consist of a lever on one side and a paddle-shaped handle on the other. They are intended for use with key wind locks. However, they can be fitted to multipoint split spindle door locks.
Our selection of upvc handle lever pads are available in a range of finishes. These will be shown in the drop-down list once you have found the correct handle for your door. Certain styles of handles are not available in all finishes. It is recommended to look over the technical drawings and dimensions for the item you are looking to ensure that you get the right size and fit.
When choosing the new set of lever pad door handles made of Upvc it is essential to ensure that they correspond to the PZ (distance between the handle spindle and the center of the hole in the cylinder) of your current multipoint door locks, since they have to be in line for the doors to remain locked, whether from the inside or outside. The handles we offer are designed to work with most standard cylinder locks, but you should always double-check before ordering.
If you are looking to upgrade to dual spindle levers you'll need to remove the handles you have already installed and disassemble the lock case. This will require an additional split inline cylinder. These can be bought separately and we offer an entire technical diagram to take a look at in the pictures for each product.
It is recommended to loosen the screws that are holding your door handle, and then inspect the mechanism. If the screws are too tight, you may need to loosen them even more. Then, you can remove the spindle from the door handle and replace it with a new Upvc handle. It is crucial to make sure that the handle is in the correct position prior to fixing it. You can do this by placing your finger between the frame and the handle to ensure that it's level.
Lever/Lever
The lever handles on doors are used to operate a multi-point lock using the Euro cylinder. They are found on many
upvc chrome door handles double doors as well as some wooden and aluminum doors. They are available in two forms, having an interior lever and a paddle on the outside. Sprung - they have a spring cassette fitted within the backplate to help bring the handle lever into a horizontal position. Non-sprung - these do not include a spring mechanism and must be manually pulled to bring the handle lever back to its horizontal position.
To fix a sagging lever door handle it is necessary to find the hole for access to the detent or pin, which is usually a small rectangle or round with a protruding hole situated on one side of the base plate. Once you have located it, loosen the set screw with the help of a screwdriver, and then take it off to allow the lever and return it to its horizontal position.
Once the handle is in a horizontal position, you can re-install the screws and tighten them to make sure the handle is secured to the base plate. Consider applying a threadlocking solution to the threads of screws to improve grip and prevent the threads from becoming loose over time.
Drooping lever handles on door handles could be the result of many factors. The most common reason is that the fixings aren't tight and the lever bearing to pull against the door. It is also possible that the levers haven't been adjusted at the right angle, which causes compression of the latch mechanism, preventing it from fully springing into motion.
The most common reason for a sprung lever not working correctly is the spring not being in the correct position on the backplate. To determine if the handle returns to horizontal, simply operate it.
If your door handles are loose, it is important to identify the issue quickly, since this could lead to excessive wear on the screws, and even to the handle falling off of the base plate. You should also tighten any loose screws regularly to stop them from becoming looser.

These
upvc door handles are also referred to as 'Snib' handles and have a snib button on the top of the lever that you can press down to lock your door in the event that you don't use the Dummy lock. Mortise
The tubular latch is the most likely to be the cause in the event that your door handle is slammed shut. There may be a few things that can cause this, the first being a simple lack of lubrication on the latch plate. It is possible to fix this issue by opening the door, spraying lubricant onto the lock and
aluminium window handle. It could also be that the latch has come loose from the backplate. This can be a bit more complicated and will require a specialist to repair.
