Robots That Vacuum and MopRobots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one time, without having to switch devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads with an appropriate dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its relatively affordable price, and it's one of the most simple robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean, full dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.
You could, for instance ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. The only problem is that the robot tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However an inspection of the cleaning history on the app will reveal exactly what the robot has completed, where it's traveling, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
The docking station comes with a handy LCD screen that displays when maintenance is needed like emptying the debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the tank automatically, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to look at all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's most popular
robot vacuum best mop and
vacuum mop cleaner robot. Unlike last year's model it comes with an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that enables it to pull up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.
The Roborock model, just like the other two models I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it get around obstacles like walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and decide whether they're a wall or another surface. It is able to change its direction automatically and clean around them without missing a step.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also packed with features. Its sleek angular design is striking, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child-lock, and a home-button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin fills up automatically.
The only issue I encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's not easy to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading
robot vacuum and mop that has incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its intelligent design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while reducing time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair, crumbs and other dry messes. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. In addition the X40 is very quiet during operation, only producing occasional bursts of noise when switching between modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.
The X40 also comes with an additional side brush that can be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean curved furniture like table and chair legs. It can also get under furniture that is low-profile which makes it a great option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that enables the X40 to prevent damage to floors from the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Contrary to other robots, which are limited to one task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can also be programmed to skip areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, or reverse the process. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is user-friendly and easy to use, and the X40's smart features are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, switch modes, look at floor plans and maps, and manage mopping setting. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it a great choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, cleans mop pads and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It also can detect the moment when the mop pad is at its maximum capacity and alert you to the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive available however, it comes with numerous extra features that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirty spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This is a great feature because it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen before on other robot mop or
best automatic vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There are a lot of options, including the option to schedule cleanings and change preferences. These can be set via the app, or via buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options for customising the cleaning routine, and there are numerous features that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, rather than using the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen in the market, with metallic and white colors that looks classy and sophisticated. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing but it's not excessively heavy. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping system is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
