Best robot vacuum uk robot hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention, and leaves your floors spotless. Its price is affordable and its high-end functions (such as dirt detector) are positives.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro
The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the pricier Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've test. They are equipped with motors that are top of the class and can handle up to 5,500 Pascals. Similar to other iRobots that are premium (including the top model), they use intelligent mapping to design precise floor plans and eliminate household obstacles like furniture leg. The robots also have a feature called Carpet Boost that boosts its power when it detects dirt on the carpet.
Both the Q5 as well as the Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our floor tests that test for bare floors They're also particularly adept at cleaning pet hair. However, they do have several flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. One of the Q5's shortcomings is its navigation system doesn't feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to get stuck on shoes and socks and couldn't navigate through rooms with a lot of people well during our tests. It also doesn't have cameras that let it see the corners of a room.
However, it's a good choice to consider, particularly if you're looking to save money on an iRobot Roomba and you have a mostly bare-floor home or office. Additionally, it's quiet and you can use it while you're at work or at school. The only thing it's missing that you can't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. It's also less effective in mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere well and isn't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with self-emptying docks, however. If you're required to mop, the mopping pad can be replaced with an awe-inspiring one in a matter of just a few seconds.
2. IRobot Roomba X30
The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that also has the ability to sweep floors. Its quick navigation and smart cleaning maps make it easy to clean and efficient in taking on larger particles, such as pet hair. It also comes with a self-emptying bin as well as powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot vacuum for carpets, but it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.
This top-performing mop and vacuum combination uses advanced sensor technology to avoid obstacles and pet waste and it learns your home's layout over time to provide more efficient cleaning. You can alter its cleaning schedule and set up zones through the well-designed app. Its battery life is average in comparison to similar models.
When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can tell it to take off and extend its mops. This will help prevent cross contamination. Its flex arm is ideal for getting under low-lying furniture and along baseboards. It doesn't offer the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Professional+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
During tests, X30 Ultra was the most efficient robot vacuum/mop which could sweep the entire house and had 66 percent of its battery remaining. It did a great cleaning job on different floors and rooms with different kinds of flooring, including some area rugs. Its obstacle detection was excellent, and it avoided fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles of cables.
It's a bit more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, an onboard dustbin that automatically fills up its base, and supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after it vacuums this feature, which we've not seen on other
robot vacuum/mop combinations.
3. Roomba X40 from iRobot
With an elegant, circular design that looks more like a regular Roomba rather than the boxes this robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most attractive looking models in our evaluations. The latest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent model, with features that are cutting-edge like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).
It's the only robot vacuum/mop that has 100% in our tests thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can fully self-refill and empty its base station and it boasts its own self-cleaning mop pads.
Like other iRobot models, the X40 is user-friendly, with a simple mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only downside is that the X40 still a loud unit. This could be a concern in the mornings before work or in the evening when you're trying to fall asleep.
It's also somewhat expensive, though it's not as pricey as Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra, both of which are equally powerful and more attractive. This is a two-in-one vacuum that is very efficient however, it's going to cost you more and produce more noise.
4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop with a lot of advanced features to help you get rid of your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaner, similar to Ecovacs the top of the line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It comes with a multi-function dock that will automatically emptys the bin of the vacuum and refills the water tank, and washes and drys mop pads.
The smart robot employs an array of LIDAR and structured light to create floor plans and identify obstacles, navigating more intelligently than its more expensive rivals. It also comes with a front-mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time but this wasn't 100% reliable in our tests and was sometimes confused with obstructions or power cords.
The vacuum cleaner comes with an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to complete the task. It also comes with "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates how hard the vacuum works and alters the frequency of cleaning for different areas of your home according to the amount of dirt they are.
If you own a larger home, it's worth selecting a model with a spot or zone cleaning mode. This allows you to instruct the robot on which part of your home needs to be cleaned by using the app or voice command. A stair mode can be useful if you have a lot furniture. For busy families, a recharge feature and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum to resume where it left off can be extremely useful.
iRobot RX3
The RX3 is a smarter cleaner than you might think from its price. It is a great job cleaning, removing 55% of the debris that was found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with a single pad and a rotating motion that is more efficient than most mop cleaners for robots that we've examined. It's also self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and an auto-emptying, washable base.
The iRobot application is designed to help you navigate a mapping run, which gathers information on your floorplan, as well as any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. It can be used to make cleaning schedules, set up a spot clean or to sort out your rooms with the most dirt for better performance. The app also gives access to a variety of options, including seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.
It can also reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It also has a powerful 8000 Pascal suction and combs with intelligent technology for pet hair. You can also set up a spot-clean that will thoroughly clean the area.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker and cheaper alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive design, akin to Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are designed like adorable eyes. It's good at vacuuming, but it is more susceptible to get caught on low thresholds and is a bit noisier than the other top robotic vacuums we've examined. It also has a less user-friendly app and a small base station that can't be used as an emptying bin.
