Robots That Vacuum and MopRobots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet mess in one go without the need to switch between devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads with a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and also vacuums well. The mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you pick the kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For example, you can decide to let the
robot vacuum that mops take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models cannot. The only issue it has is that it can crash into walls and objects at full speed - but a quick glance at the history of
cleaning robot mop and vacuum in the app tells you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.
The docking station features an LCD display that displays the need for maintenance like emptying the debris and washing the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time and the mop is capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to see all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop is the newest version. This year's model has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This improves the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two models I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it overcome obstacles like walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by having a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they're a wall or another surface. It can then automatically change its path and clean them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive model I've tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular style is striking and has just three physical buttons which include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin auto-filling.
The only issue I encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to take off the mount to wash manually. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot passes will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of intelligent features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these through the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor battery life. You'll have to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with innovative features, superior suction power, and advanced mopping capabilities. Its smart design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the most effective options available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry mess. It comes with a mop that is high quality that cleans hard floors without the use of a pad. The X40 is also very quiet when in operation, with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 has an additional side brush that can be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture with curved edges such as table and chair legs. The robot can also reach under furniture that is low-profile which makes it an ideal option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that helps the X40 to avoid damaging floors by repeated back-and-forth movements.
Contrary to other robots which only focus on one task, the X40 can do both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or individually. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is user-friendly and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are a breeze to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see mapping and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and has many features that make it an excellent choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It can also detect when the mop pad is filled and alert you before it overflows, thus reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive available, but it packs in many extra features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature in its mop, utilizes two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and smaller dirt particles - as well as picking up spills and wet spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature because it stops mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that we haven't yet seen on other
best robot vacuum vacuum and mop models and it could be a useful method of keeping your home cleaner for longer.
There's a plethora of settings available which include the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a number of different preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a number of options for customising your cleaning routine. It also offers a number of features that aren't available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on market, sporting a white and metallic design that looks elegant and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list but it's not too heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors as well as in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
