The Best
robot vacuum with mop Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning equipment. His focus is on mopping and robot vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are a great option for those looking to take mopping off their to-do list. They feature impressive mapping capabilities and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than the other models, making it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the
best automatic vacuum navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery midway through a clean.
It's fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single pass. The suction motor's 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help draw out dirt from corners.
The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as impressive. The mop rotates at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger pieces of debris, like broken toys and books.
Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and works well however this is something that you'll have to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.
The device has an impressive and powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map your home and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and effectively. This results in an efficient, consistent clean which is also relatively quick.
In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach many different surfaces. These include corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can extend to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the smell.
Another noteworthy feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction strength and select an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also set the number of passes it will make, which will affect how fast the device will move through your home. You can also disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
The device comes with a expensive price, but has a variety of smart features. It is important to remember, however, that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll should be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be changed every three month.
This
robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and offers a wide variety of physical automation features. The vacuum also has a power button which doubles as the 'Clean button' and a Home button that allows it to go back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a busy professional or someone who just wants to have a clean home without spending hours doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid option. Its powerful performance, smart navigation, and long battery life make it simple to maintain a clean house with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two parts, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping unit that includes a microfiber pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping might seem a bit outdated however, they mean you don't have to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the water tank.
Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its precise floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which help to protect certain areas of your house from being scrubbed with a mop.
We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair from pets. It was able to capture an enormous amount of hair that shed by our cats and even found its way into the nooks and crannies of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was quiet and had some pleasant jingles that signalled when it was beginning or finishing its work.
Its biggest drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the necessity to swap out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot save multiple maps. This can be a problem if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want a smart robot that can do both vacuuming and mopping.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, however it has some distinct features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock which serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink, and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.
The base has a few control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning task or recall the
robot vacuums with mop, or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to switch on the child lock that is a great touch for parents worried about children playing with the vacuum.
The Omni Omni like other
robotic cleaner and mop vacuums, utilizes its camera to detect obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognizing objects.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. This is a rare event however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert on its app.
The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between use. This can lead to mildew and mold.
On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking
robot cleaner with mop thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big change from the utilitarian all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky boxy models.
