The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mops then this is the model to look for. It is smaller than other options which makes it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best automatic vacuum cleaner navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robotic cleaner and mop vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through cleaning.

It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single sweep. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to clean dirt, pet hair, and droppings easily. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help draw away debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is useful in difficult corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can also be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys and books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is simple to install and performs well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum for mopping purposes, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.

For instance, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads should be replaced every one to three month.

This robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and includes a broad variety of physical automation features. This includes the power button that can also function as a general 'Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station once it has completed the cleaning process. The robot is divided into two parts which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module that is equipped with an elastomer pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated, but they do mean you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.

Our test subjects discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. It was able to collect an enormous amount of hair that our cats shed and even was able to get into the nooks and crannies of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was quiet and had some nice jingles that signalled when it was about to start or completing its task.

The app was too simple and you had to alter the modules each time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app is not able to keep multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for a smart robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it comes with some distinctive features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock, which doubles as a charging base and the housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a cleaning sink as well as a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base has several control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to switch on the child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like a power cord draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert on its application.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during cleaning. You'll have to manually swap between the two, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
