If you need to clean up messes quickly then a robot vacuum and mop is the best way to go. The
best automatic vacuum robot vacuums and mops that I have tested have top-notch mapping and navigation and are able to pick up Cheerios wires, tangled wires and fake dog turds without leaving them behind.
They're also easy to use with an app that lets you schedule cleaning tasks and check on how they're doing.
1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the
best robot cleaner robot mop and vacuum. It is equipped with the latest features. This top-of-the-line vacuum is fast and agile and was able to pick up pet hair and human dander nearly flawlessly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also features a sleek app interface with a mini map of your house and a few on-screen buttons to allow manual control.
The S8's Dirt-Detection Technology allows it to alter the cleaning mode based on the amount of dirt. It will wash its mopping pads more often when it encounters dust. Carpeted areas get the first priority when mopping with a damp mopping pad.
It has a variety of other innovative features also, including an alternative dock that connects to your plumbing to clean and wash the mop roller, without having you to manually refill it. You can also use voice commands to control the S8's built-in voice assistant that can be activated by saying "Hey Rocky" to specify room cleaning, modes, and granular controls using just your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those looking for an automated robot vacuum that is hands-free that can also mop. It's one of a variety of robot vacuums with combo features that also include mops however it's priced at a lower cost than the majority of competitors.
Like all robovacs, the Yeedi Cube requires a little bit of work to start, including setting up an account on the official app of the manufacturer and connecting it to your WiFi network. Once that's done the robot is able to begin mopping and vacuuming with ease.
It's important to note that the mapping process could take some time and the Yeedi Cube may need a few tries before it gets a good picture of your space. The object detection feature is hit-and-miss. It was able to skirt around furniture and other obstacles, but got stuck on a rug with tassels that it needed to turn to free itself. However, these aren't major issues, and the Yeedi Cube is still a excellent choice for those looking for an all-in-one solution for cleaning.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping uses a rotating motion that is similar to hand scrubs. This results in floors being cleaned, not just cleaned. The detachable vacuum stick is an absolute game changer that can get to places a
robot vacuum cleaner reviews vacuum mop cleaner robot cannot.
This model is nearly identical to the popular X2 Omni but with a slightly higher suction capacity of 8,700Pa as well as a few additional features that are smart. The upgraded RGBD sensor is able to learn your home better and offer dynamic obstacles avoidance. The smart app allows you to customize a number of settings including AI cleanings and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the robot vacuum and mop return to their charging base at the end of each task to clean their pads, empty the dust bins and put the debris in bags that self-seal. This helps keep the system tidy and stops allergens from circulating. Its battery lifespan is long enough to handle large spaces without needing a recharge mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the expensive robot vacuum and mop models, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for the money. It is equipped with an impressive 8,000 Pa suction, a rotating floor brush for carpets, and an excellent obstacle-avoiding. It also features an unique mopping method that utilizes a roller continuously misting with water to capture dirt and then deposit it into the dirty water tank.
Its navigation system performed well. It avoided the stairs and was able to navigate close to walls without crashing. However, it had trouble with fine-grained debris and didn't always get rid of raised thresholds for rooms. Its operating noise level is also very high, which means this model may not be as simple to set and forget as the other models.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, has a docking systems that allow it to replenish its clean water, empty the dust bin and dry and wash the mop, and then empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance simple and helps the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors on regular schedules. You can manage all of its functions through the Eufy app, which gives a clear overview and plenty of configuration options.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the best robot mowers available, and offers amazing mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. Its LIDAR mapping sensor is able to recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with a decent precision. The application lets users fine-tune the map coverage, create zones that are not allowed to enter, and set cleaning preferences. The main roller brush of the Freo is also designed to stop hair from wrapping around it, which can be a big pain point with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that rotate at 180 RPM while applying upward pressure of up to 12N. The mopping system also incorporates intelligent carpet detection, which lifts the pads up when they're in proximity to soft surfaces to avoid contaminating them with.
The docking station that is all-in-one functions as a hands-free center for maintenance that is able to wash and dry the mops, and refilling them with water and detergent. The base station also features integrated dust processing that compacts dust for seven weeks of hassle-free operation unlike traditional robot vacuums that empty their bins of dust every time they have to be emptied.
6. S10
A few hundred dollars more than the S8 This robot does a bang-up job of keeping my office tidy and is able to take on the corners of my cramped apartment. It uses laser mapping and a camera to make a map of your area which allows it to know where not to go. It has an object/obstacle detector that can block things like toys and dog bowls (but not Poop), unlike many vacuums.
Other great features include a self emptying dustbin as well as a mop that's self-washing and adjustable for water temperature and a side-reaching mops that can reach areas that other mops cannot reach. You can also alter the settings for each room and set up cleaning schedules.
Like the S8 model, it comes with multi-room smart mapping, and can distinguish between carpets, laminate and hardwood rugs with high-pile. It can also avoid mopping rooms that are not clean if you want to save time. If you have a variety of flooring options in your home and don't want to spend more money on a Roborock that has advanced mapping features this is an excellent option.
7. Q5 Pro
This robot is a great choice if you are seeking a flexible robot that can handle regular maintenance and touch-ups to wet messes. It has a range of features that include a self-emptying dustbin as well as a dock that can be used for refilling water, as well as adjustable settings through the app. It's extremely quiet and is able to easily move around furniture legs or socks. It's not able to remove knotted rug tassels and its battery drains more quickly than other models we tested in our tests.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerful unit that offers powerful suction and convenient automation, all in a sleek and stylish. It didn't perform as well as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests for vacuuming however, it performed very well. It comes with a variety of cleaning options, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet mode for light debris to the incredibly powerful Turbo mode for carpeted areas. It also has the capability to automatically remove and replace mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum cleaner that can be used in smaller spaces. It's silent and fast and it is able to navigate tight spaces well. It's also excellent in removing pet hair from carpeting.
It's smaller than many of its competitors however it doesn't sacrifice features. It has a decent amount of suction power and it can be configured to take photos of any object it picks up (i.e. chew toys, socks) and mark them as 'not found in the app to ensure that they don't get removed during subsequent cleanings. Its photos are encrypted, and are not tied to your account.
It is great at vacuuming, but not as well at mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes that you clip onto the bot's bottom, and then it drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal which have water reservoirs and will automatically wash and attach their mophead.
