The majority of robot vacuum-mop combinations can be customized using a specialized application. You can save maps of your home as well as organize cleaning schedules, and select the mopping mode you prefer. They also let you change suction power and fine tune the amount of water and scrubbing action your mop uses.
A mapping feature aids your robot navigate around rooms, while an obstacle avoidance feature will stop it from hitting furniture, wires or stray pet toys. These are must-have features in my home, which is filled with toys that are scattered about.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the company's flagship mop and vacuum cleaner, so it naturally comes with features. It's able to sweep and mop in one session and even raise its brushes and mop pads to prevent soft surfaces from getting too wet. It also has the ability to see and avoid obstacles, thanks to the ability to spot pet toys, plants and other small objects.
The robot
automatic vacuum cleaner and mop has a maximum suction power of 6,000 pascals, which is more than any other robot vac we've tested up to now. It also has PreciSense LiDAR Navigation to track its position, which prevents it from getting stuck on an object.
The mopping function is impressive and the S8 Pro Ultra able to apply constant pressure of over 6 Newtons to the mop pad for deep cleaning. It also comes with mop lifter which lifts the pad automatically as it is able to switch between tile, laminate or hardwood flooring, as well as carpet or rugs to prevent soaking soft surfaces.
The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing and self-drying capabilities. The pad can be rinsed and heat-dried within the dock and the dust bin is automatically emptied and returned to it. You can set it and forget about it. It is only necessary to refill the water tank, or replace the dust bag occasionally.
All of this is powered by a lithium-ion 5,200mAh battery. I ran it on its standard vac and mop settings for about 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to be power-deficient and returned to its base for a recharge. This is not far off of the 180 minutes that Roborock claims, and is on par with other hybrids I've tried.
It's a robust, well-rounded product. The only drawback is that it's expensive. Its sheer number of features make it a great choice for anyone who is looking to replace their old mops and stick vacuums. We highly recommend this model if you can justify its cost.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra
robot cleaner vacuum and mop is a premium combination. The high price is justified by the robust features, including a large vacuuming capability and two mop heads that rotate. It also includes an app-based, smart controller and a powerful obstacle avoidance system.
The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuums and mop sets available at a recommended retail price of 999 euros. In my tests, it performed very well in all areas of the house, removing 98.4 percent of the debris on all types of floors and able to lift long hair without tangling. The mops were also excellent, achieving great cleaning results with less effort than most mid-range models due to their rotational motion as well as a strong dose of cleaning solution.
However, the L10S Ultra's real selling point is its innovative multi-functional docking station. The dock emptys its dust bin into dirt bag, fills its water tank for mopping and dry its mop pads for you. It has a real-time hazards detection system, and its intelligent controls allow you to schedule regular cleaning sessions.
The L10S Ultra does not offer superior carpet debris removal performance when compared to the other hybrid mops I tested. In addition it's not as adept at removing staining that is as strong as those in the premium Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra’s high-end features, it still requires regular maintenance. Its base station needs to be cleaned out and the water and dust tanks should be cleaned, empty and dried on a regular basis to avoid mildew and unpleasant odors. It is also important to remember that the mop pads, which are purchased separately, must be replaced periodically too.
With the L10S Ultra's pricey pricing and its extensive features, I would recommend it to anyone who has the budget for it. If you're on a tight budget, I recommend a more basic model that allows you to save money and still enjoy hands-free cleaning at your home. It's worth noting that even the L10S Ultra is the best mop and robotic vacuum you can find, its high purchase cost and maintenance costs will eventually make it more of a wish rather than a requirement.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
If you're in search of a
robot mop and vacuum that can remove dust and dirt on your floors while cleaning up wet mess then you should look no further than the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful robovac/mop combination is a mighty 8,000 Pa suction power. It also has a large battery capacity that can be used for vacuuming as well as mowing. And it is equipped with a top-notch obstacle-avoidance system. It has a mop with a roller that cleans itself, making it stand out from other models which require you to return to the base station to wash the mop pad.
The S1 Pro has a unique mopping mechanism that is distinct from the spinning discs and microfibre pads that are found on other
robots that vacuum and mop. The roller covers the entire width of the robot, and it gets a constant supply of clean water that is filtered and ozonated from the dock. As it rotates, the roller scrubs your floors while soaking up dirt and any dry debris is picked up by the side brushes or swept into the front colision bumper. The S1 Pro is able to dump dirty mop water into its base station where it is sucked up by the heater elements of the tank and emptied into a larger storage container. The tank that is onboard can hold a substantial amount of water, and can handle up to a half dozen mopping session before running out.
As with most robot vacuums and mop combinations The S1 Pro is ready to take it out from the box. The S1 Pro does need to be refilled with clean water. This is easily accomplished in the cleaning dock. You can also add a cleaning solution to the dock, if you prefer to have the option of using your own cleaner. However, if you do select this option you'll need to purchase the branded cleaning solution from Eufy which is more expensive than other robot brands that allow users to use their own choice of cleaners.
The S1 Pro performed well in the navigation efficiency and coverage tests, just like the majority of robots. It was fast to map a room and it was able to navigate around furniture. It got stuck on carpets with longer piles a couple of times during my tests. However, this could be improved by re-updating the software. The S1 Pro is a very powerful robot that can be bought at an affordable price.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock's basic mop and vacuum, and it has some outstanding features. Its multifunction dock empties the robot's dirtbag, and refills its water tanks, while washing and sanitizing mop pads as it goes. The mopping system is capable of cleaning up a significant portion of a space before it has to return to its dock and the vacuum's powerful suction is capable of picking up debris and pet hair from carpets.
The app that runs this appliance is fairly complex, with a broad variety of options to personalize the cleaning process. You can manually clean every area that is that are mapped by this device, or select individual rooms, zones that can be expanded, or a routine you've developed. There are a number of mopping options which include SmartPlan -an algorithm that uses the sensors on the mops to find the most efficient method to clean your home while it maps the space.
The Qrevo performed well in our tests, like all the Roborock models we've test. Its navigation system performs well by quickly mapping rooms and cleaning in a neat way. The 'Normal' setting for pathing does an excellent job of covering a room, leaving no major gaps or missed areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system works fairly well, too however it's not as advanced as the color camera system on the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect dangers such as thick carpets but might not be able to detect smaller objects such as rug tassels and electrical wires.
The machine has a major flaw: it does not include a mop option after vacuuming. This could be a problem for those who vacuum frequently prior to using their robot. There's a good solution: the app offers the option to "clean up" at the end of every vacuuming session. This allows you to use the vacuum's mopping capability to remove the last remnants of debris and dust that are left behind by the vacuuming. It's a nice touch, and it helps the robot to clean up a little bit better than its cheaper rivals.
