Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and MopIf you're looking to clean up messes quickly and efficiently, a robot vacuum and mop is the way to go. The
best robotic mop and vacuum robot vacs and mops in my tests have top-notch mapping and navigation, picking up Cheerios, tangled wires and fake dog turds, without leaving them behind.
They're also simple to use with an app that lets you schedule cleaning tasks and check on how they're doing.
1. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the
best robot vacuum cleaner and mop robot mop and vacuum. It has the latest features. This high-end vacuum is fast and agile and picked up human hair and pet hair almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It has a sleek app interface with an interactive map of your home as well as buttons on the screen to allow manual control.
The S8's Dirt Detection Technology allows it to change the cleaning mode in accordance with the amount of dirt. It will pause and wash its mopping pad more often when it comes across dust, while prioritizing carpeted areas for mopping with a damp pad.
The mop roller comes with a number of other smart features, including docks that can be connected to your home plumbing system to wash and clean it without you needing to refill the mop. You can even use voice commands to control the built-in voice assistant that can be activated by saying "Hey Rocky" to specify rooms cleaning, modes and granular controls with your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
If you're looking for a hands-off robot vacuum that has mopping capabilities The Yeedi Cube is one of the more versatile choices. It's part of a plethora of robot vacuums that also include mops but is priced at a lower cost than many of the competitors.
Like all robovacs, the Yeedi Cube requires a little amount of work to get started, including setting up an account with the app of the manufacturer and connecting it to your WiFi network. Once that's done, though, the
best robot vacuum can start vacuuming and mopping with ease.
It's important to keep in mind that the mapping process may take some time, and the Yeedi Cube may need a few attempts before it has a good picture of your space. The object detection is also not perfect. It was able skirt around furniture and other obstacles but it was stuck on a rug with tassels that it needed to turn to free itself. However, these aren't major issues and the Yeedi Cube is still a great option for those who need an all-in-one solution for cleaning.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete provides a three-in-one cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features an alternating motion that's similar to hand scrubbing. This means that floors are cleaned and not just cleaned. The detachable stick vacuum is a game-changer that allows you to reach areas that robotic vacuums aren't able to reach.
The model is basically the same as the popular X2 Omni, but with an a bit higher suction capacity of 8700Pa, and a few additional smart features. The upgraded RGBD sensor will learn to understand your home's layout better and provide dynamic obstacles avoidance. The app's smart feature allows you to customize a number of settings, including AI cleanings and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping and has both the
robot vacuum cleaners best vacuum and mop returning to their charging station after each job to wash their pads, empty their dust bins, and place debris into bags that self-seal. This helps to keep the system tidy and stops allergens from recirculating. The battery life is long enough to handle large spaces without requiring a recharge mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is a high-end robot vacuum and mop that has impressive features for a reasonable price. It is equipped with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a rotary floor brush for carpets and an excellent obstacle-avoiding. It also features a unique mopping method, which uses a roller continuously filled with water to pick dirt and place it in the dirty water tank.
Its navigation system performed well. It avoided steps and walked close to walls without crashing. It had trouble with small particles and did not always clear the thresholds in rooms. The operating level of the sound is also very high, which means this model might not be as simple to set and forget as others.
Like most robotic vacuums and mops the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that lets you replenish its clean water and empty its dust bin and mop pad, and wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance simple and helps the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors in a routine schedule. Eufy's application lets you control all its functions. It gives an easy overview and a variety of options for configuration.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the most premium robot mowers available, and it offers impressive mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. Its LIDAR mapping sensor is able to recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with good precision, and the app allows users to fine-tune coverage of the map, define zones that are not allowed to enter, and set cleaning preferences. The Freo's roller brush was designed to prevent hair from wrapping around it. This can be an issue for many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too and comes with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM and can apply up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system incorporates intelligent carpet detectors that lift these pads up when they are close to soft surfaces to avoid contamination.
The docking station is an automated maintenance center that is able to wash and dry the mops and refills them with detergent and distilled water. The base station also features integrated dust processing that compacts dust for 7 weeks of maintenance-free operation, unlike conventional robot vacuums which empty their dust bins each time they are cleaned.
6. S10
This
robot vacuums best is only a few hundred dollars more expensive than the S8 and does a great job of keeping my office clean. It is also able to reach into the corners of my tiny apartment. It makes use of laser mapping and a camera to create an outline of your home which allows it to know where not to go. It has an object/obstacle detector that can avoid things like toys and dog bowls (but not the poop) unlike most vacuums.
It has other great highlights, such as the self-emptying dustbin and a mop pad that's self-washing and adjustable to the temperature of the water, and a side-reaching sweeper brush that is able to reach places that other mops can't reach. You can also alter the settings for each room and set up cleaning schedules.
It features the same multi-room smart mapping as the S8 and can differentiate between laminate and carpets with high-pile carpets. If you're looking to cut down on time, it will avoid mopping rooms that aren't dirty. It's an excellent option when you have a mix of flooring in your home but aren't looking to spend the extra money for a Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
This robot is an excellent choice to consider if you're looking for a versatile robot that can do both regular maintenance on a daily basis and touch-ups to messy water stains. It has a range of features, including a self emptying dustbin as well as a dock that can be used for refilling water, as well as adjustable settings that can be adjusted via the app. It's quite quiet, and it's able to maneuver between furniture legs and socks effortlessly. It can't pick knots in the rug, and its battery drains quicker than other models we tested.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a beast that comes with an impressive suction and easy automation in a sleek design. It wasn't as efficient as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests of vacuuming however, it performed quite well. It has a range of cleaning options, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet mode which is suitable for small debris to the more powerful "Turbo mode" for carpeted areas. It also has the capability to automatically remove and replace its mop pads without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great two-in-one robot vacuum and mop for those who live in small areas. It's extremely fast and quiet and it is able to navigate tight spaces well. It's also excellent in removing pet hair from carpeting.
It's smaller than its rivals, but doesn't sacrifice any features. It has a decent suction capacity and can be programmed to take pictures of each object it picks (i.e. chew toys socks, chew toys), and mark them in the app as 'not located' so that they will not be removed in future cleanings. The photos are encrypted and aren't tied to your account.
It's great for vacuuming, but not as great at mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes that are clipped onto the bottom of the bot, and then it drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal which have water reservoirs, and automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
