Robots That Vacuum and MopRobots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills or staining) in one go without the need to change devices. They can also reduce space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads with an appropriate dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer at a low cost, and it's among the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual will have you running in no time with a full dust bag, water tank and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that mops up a storm and also vacuums well. The mops are spun at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a selection of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you pick the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For example, you can opt for the
robot hoover and mop to take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are excellent too and the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only issue it has is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at a high speed, but a quick glance at the history of cleaning in the app tells you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and the obstacles it's avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance jobs must be completed including emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the tank automatically by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to look at every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop is the newest version. In contrast to the model of last year, this one features two agitators in its mopping pad, which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that enables it to remove finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.
Like the other two Roborock models I've tested the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It can then automatically change its path and clean the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive model I've tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek angular design is eye catching and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank is self-emptying, and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only downside I found in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if it's required) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the
robot vacuums uk touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of intelligent features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, track battery life and component maintenance. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control on this model which is a pity considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its smart design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the best options available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry messes. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet in operation with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also comes with a side brush that is able to be extended and lifted. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture that is curved like table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to access furniture that is low-profile, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that enables the X40 to avoid damaging floors by repeated back-and-forth movements.
In contrast to other robots that are limited to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is simple and user-friendly, and the X40's smart features are a breeze to install. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, alter modes, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features, making it an ideal option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It can also detect the moment when the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and alert you to the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has many characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature on its mop heads, makes use of two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can clean pet hair and smaller dirt particles - and also pick up spills and wet spots.
Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This feature is great because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature has yet to be seen on other
robot vacuum that vacuums and mops vacuum and mop models and could be a good method to keep your home cleaner for longer.
There are many choices, including the possibility to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. These can be set via the app or there are direct buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options to customize your cleaning routine. It also has several features that aren't offered on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing but it's not too heavy. It is solid and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
