It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of my favorite navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through a clean.

It's extremely efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single sweep. The suction motor's 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as good. The rotating mop spins at a high velocity and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects like books and broken toys.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever used. It doesn't create as loud of a sound while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and is effective however, this is something that you'll need to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuums best vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great option for homeowners looking for an extremely efficient, flexible and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device has an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean methodically and efficiently. This will result in an efficient, consistent clean that's also fairly quick.

The device is costly, however it has many useful features. However, it's important to remember that it carries periodic costs, such as mopping supplies and maintenance. For example the brushroll should be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.

The app was too easy and you had to change the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app doesn't have the capacity to contain multiple maps, which can be a hassle for homes that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it has some unique features which are worth a look. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its massive dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and an 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base has a few control buttons, which allow you to manually start cleaning tasks or recall the robot, or run the dock's best automatic vacuum cleaner emptying procedure. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their children messing around with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will steer clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck when it gets entangled in a hazard, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its application.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two, which isn't too bad aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a major change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing appearance in a market that is dominated by bulky, boxy units.
