Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills or staining) in one go without having to swap out devices. They can also save storage space compared to having two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has a lot to offer at a affordable price and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you running with a clean and complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in no time at all.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. Its mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room.

For instance, you could decide to let the robot vacuum best take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen areas but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are excellent too and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. The only problem is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However looking at the cleaning history on the app will show you precisely what the robot has completed, where it's going, and which obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.

The docking station features an LCD display that displays the time when maintenance is required, such as emptying debris and cleaning the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the tank by itself, using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time as well, with the mop being capable of running for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you look at all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's flagship robot vacuum that mops mop and vacuum. In contrast to the model of last year it comes with a double agitator in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that enables it to pick up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to helps to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating two cameras that can recognize objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It can then change its course automatically and clean around the objects without missing a step.

It's the most expensive model I've tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and has only three physical buttons which include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin auto-refills.

The only drawback I could find with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off for manual washing. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mount, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number clever features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these using the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track the battery's life. You'll need to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its smart design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum with mop automatic vacuum cleaner and mop cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum removes dry debris, including pet hair and dust. It also comes with a top-quality mop that makes hard floors sparkling clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet while in use and only occasionally bursting during mode changes or self-maintenance.

The X40 has a side brush that is able to be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture with curved edges like chairs and table legs. It also allows the robot to reach under furniture with a low profile making it an ideal choice for small apartments and condos with tight spaces. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a nice feature that helps the X40 to avoid damaging floors by repeated back-and-forth movements.

Contrary to other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can also be programmed to avoid areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, or vice versa. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.

The app is user-friendly and user-friendly and the X40's clever features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. They can also adjust suction power, alter modes, view floor plans and maps, and manage mopping setting. The X40 will also keep track of its progress, and alert you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and has many convenient features which make it a good choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes mop pads and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It can also detect when the mop pad is overflowing and alert you before it overflows, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive models available and comes with numerous extra features that distinguish it from. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and has a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can remove pet hair and smaller dirt particles and also pick up spills and wet spots.

Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This feature is great because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.

There's a plethora of settings on offer that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and alter a variety of preferences. The app lets you make these settings or use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also comes with many features that aren't offered on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on market, with a white and metallic design that looks elegant and classy. It's heavier than the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and it feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors as well as in corners. They can even extend to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
