Best Robotic Mop and Vacuum Combos
Most robot vacuum-mop combos can be customised using a specialized app to save the maps of your home as well as set cleaning schedules and select mopping options. You can also alter the suction power, and the amount of water the mop is using.
A mapping feature can help your robot navigate rooms while an obstacle avoidance feature helps it avoid hitting wires, furniture, or even stray pet toys. These are essential features to have in my house, stuffed with toys that are scattered about.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the top-of-the-line vacuum and mop, is packed with features. It's able to both sweep and mop in one session and even lift its brushes and mop pads to prevent soft surfaces from getting too damp. It can also see and avoid obstacles, with the ability to identify pet toys plants, a variety of small objects.
The robotic vacuum's maximum suction power is 6 000 pascals. This is more than any other robot
autonomous vacuum we've examined so far. It also has PreciSense LiDAR Navigation to track its location, preventing it becoming stuck on objects.
The S8 Pro Ultra's mopping capabilities are also impressive. It can apply constant pressure to the pad that is more than 6 Newtons to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also comes with an
automatic vacuum and mop mop lifting system which will lift the pad when it transitions from laminate to tile, hardwood to carpets and rugs to prevent getting soaked by these soft surfaces.
In addition to this in addition, the S8 Pro Ultra has self-washing and self-drying capabilities. The pad can be washed and then dried with the dock, and the dust bin will get emptied and automatically returned to it. You can set it and forget about it. It is only necessary to refill the water tank or change the dust bag every now and then.
All this is powered by a lithium-ion battery of 5,200mAh. I used it on its normal mop and vac settings for about 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to get power hungry and then return to its base for a recharge. This is within the range of the 180 minutes Roborock claims and is in line with other hybrids that I've test.
It's a well-rounded, capable product. The only drawback is that it's expensive. But, the sheer number of features makes it a tempting choice for anyone looking to ditch their old stick vacuums and mops. We would highly recommend this vacuum if you can justify its cost.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra is a top-of-the-line mop and robot vacuum. The high price is justified by its robust features, such as a huge vacuuming capability, as well as two gyrating mop heads. It has an app-enabled smart controller and powerful obstacle-avoidance technology.
The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuum and mop sets available, at a recommended retail price of 999 euros. In my testing it performed well across all areas of the house, removing 98.4 percent of debris from all floors and managing to lift hair that is long without getting caught in. The mops were also excellent in delivering outstanding cleaning results with less effort than mid-range models, due to their rotational motion as well as a strong dose of cleaning solution.
The docking station is the main selling feature of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and modern. The dock empties its dustbin into dirt bag, fills its water tank to enable the mopping function and even dry the mop pads for you. It also has an in-real-time system for detecting hazards and allows you to schedule regular cleaning sessions using its intelligent controls.
The L10S Ultra does not offer the
best automatic vacuum and mop performance in removing carpet debris when compared to the other hybrid mop I tested. The mops in the L10S Ultra are not as effective in removing tough staining as the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra's top-of-the-line features, it requires regular maintenance. To prevent mildew or unpleasant odors, the base station dustbag, water and tanks need to be cleaned, emptied and dried regularly. It is also important to keep in mind that the mop pads, that are bought separately, will need to be replaced on a regular basis too.
I would recommend the L10S Ultra to anyone with the budget. If you're on a tight budget, I recommend a more basic model that will allow you to save money and still enjoy hands-free cleaning in your home. Even if the L10S Ultra was the best robot mop and vacuum you could find but its cost and constant maintenance will make it more of a want than need.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
Eufy S1 Pro is the robot vacuum and mop you require to get rid of messes and get rid of dirt from your floors. This powerful robovac/mop combo is a mighty 8,000 Pa suction power. It also boasts an enormous battery capacity that can be used for both mopping and vacuuming. It's also fitted with a top-quality obstacle-avoidance technology. It even comes with an automatic mop that cleans itself while moving this makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that have to return to their base station mid-clean in order to rinse off the mop pad.
The S1 Pro uses a unique mopping system that is a significant departure from the microfibre pads and spinning discs of other robots. The roller is almost the entire width of the robot, and it gets a constant supply of clean Ozonated, filtered water from the dock. The roller scrubs the floor while collecting dirt. Any dry debris is picked up with the side brushes or swept up into the front collision bumper. The S1 Pro then dumps the dirty mop water into its base station which is then absorbed by the tank's heating elements and dumped into a larger storage canister. The tank onboard can hold a substantial amount of water, and can handle up to half a dozen mopping sessions before being emptied out.
Like many robotic vacuums and mop sets The S1 Pro is ready to come out from the box. It will need to be filled with clean water, however this is easy to do within the cleaning dock. If you'd like to make use of your own cleaner you can add a cleaning solution to the dock. If you do choose to use this feature, you'll need to purchase the branded cleaning solution from Eufy which is more expensive than other robot brands that allow you to use your personal cleaning products.
The S1 Pro performed well in the coverage and efficiency of navigation tests, as did the majority of robots. It was quick to map out a area and moved around furniture. It sat on carpets with longer piles several times during my tests. However it could be improved by re-updating the software. The S1 Pro is an all-in-one robot that offers lots of features at a reasonable cost.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock's basic mop and vacuum. However, it still has some amazing features. The dock's multi-function function is emptying the robot's dirtbag and refilling its water tanks, and washing and sanitizing mop pads is handled by the dock. The mopping system is capable of cleaning a large portion of a space before returning to its dock and the vacuum's high suction does a nice job of picking up debris and pet hair on carpets.
The app that runs the appliance is quite extensive, and provides various options to customize the cleaning process. You can choose to manually start a full map and clean of everything that is mapped by the device or you can select particular rooms, expandable zones, or even a schedule you've crafted. There are a number of mopping options which include SmartPlan -an algorithm that makes use of the mops' sensors to find the most efficient method to tidy your home as it maps the space.
The Qrevo did well in our tests, just like the other Roborock models that we've tested. Its navigation system performs well by quickly mapping rooms and cleaning them in a well-organized manner. The 'Normal" pathing setting covers the room thoroughly, without any major gaps or missing areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system is quite reliable, too although it's not as advanced as the color camera system of the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect hazards such as thick carpets, but it may not always be able to detect smaller items like rug tassels, or electrical wires.
This machine has one major problem: it doesn't offer a mop after vacuuming. This could be a problem for those who vacuum a lot before using their robot. There's an easy solution: the app offers a feature that lets you "clean up" at the conclusion of each vacuuming session. This lets you utilize the mopping feature of the vacuum to eliminate the last traces of debris and dust that you've left behind from your vacuuming. It's a nice addition and helps the robot to make its clean better than its cheaper rivals.
