It was a bit shaky when it came across longer-pile carpets, and there were a few large, thick piles of dried-on debris.

The S1 Pro is ready to go out of the box, and it requires only just a few minutes of mapping to get to know your home. After that the map is displayed in the app and rooms can be added or combined as needed. You can also set virtual boundaries and no-go zones if there's something you do not want the robot vacuum that vacuums and mops to be able to touch.

The S1 Pro does a great job of removing messes from hard floors due to its rotating mop head, which puts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor.
