nespresso coffee pod machines Lattissima Coffee Maker Review
The Lattissima is the next step in Nespresso's one-touch brewing. It can make espressos and lungo coffee in just a minute or less and it can take the vast selection of capsules.
It is also simple to modify the machine's settings to brew the exact size drink you desire. This is a great feature for busy households.
Easy to use
This basic, black Nespresso machine is easy to use and maintain. It is minimalist and simple in its design, with just one button on top that controls everything from powering cleaning to brewing. Remove the lid, place the capsule inside and press to start making coffee. It is quick to heat and provides numerous drink options, including a double-shot espresso or a 5 8 or 18-ounce cup of coffee. It also comes with a steaming tool that can add a cafe-like texture to your drinks. We love the compact design and easy-to-use interface, but we found that this machine didn't produce as strong a cup of espresso or
coffee makers nespresso as some of the more expensive models. It's also not as easy to recycle capsules as other machines we tested. This Nespresso was not the top choice in our side-byside test for these reasons.
Quick to brew
The
Nespresso coffe machines machine can make a cup of coffee in about 15 seconds. The hot water from the reservoir flows through a pump which is able to penetrate the tiny holes on the top of the pod. It is then mixed with the compacted ground coffee inside and drips into your cup. The machine produced a rich, flavorful espresso with a hint of bite when we tried it using Jones Brothers and Bestpresso coffee capsules. We also tested whole, 2% and almond milk and found that all performed very well.
Easy to clean
Cleaning of a Nespresso machine is essential both inside and out. This helps to keep it operating properly and ensures it's safe to use. It can also make the coffee you make taste better. There are a variety of cleaning products to clean a Nespresso using vinegar, for example. It is recommended to use a descaling agent instead of vinegar as it could damage your machine.
To clean your
nespresso u machine machine, begin by getting rid of all the pods, and cleaning the drip tray and capsule container. Then fill a sink or a large bowl with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Let the drip tray and container soak in soapy water for several minutes to break up gunk and stains. Rinse them with hot water, and then make use of a non-abrasive sponge cloth to scrub away any residues or stains. After you scrub the capsules and drip tray then rinse them once more and allow them to completely dry before returning them to your machine.
When your machine is clean then it's time to descale it. Follow the steps in your user manual to perform a specific procedure. If not, you can make your own DIY descaling solution using citric acid or white vinegar. However, if you're using vinegar, be sure to make use of white vinegar instead of apple or balsamic vinegar, as these are too aggressive for this task.
