Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are getting more efficient. They pass our cleaning tests, and can handle various flooring. Look for models that let you choose from multiple modes, use their charging dock to self-empty, and clean up the stairs.

Many of the best models work with your smartphone. Look for an app that allows you to save maps, set schedules, and choose cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar to navigate, create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set schedules and alter the S1's behaviour.

When I tried the S1, it was able to locate our downstairs, which is home to linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even cross raised thresholds without any problems. However it had some issues getting down the stairs in one pass. The S1 also did a great job of cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on the flat side against the floor and then lifting itself when it was near carpet or rugs.

The docking station of the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and fills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated water prior to every mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water for deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 cleaning sessions, but this will differ based on how often you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires regular maintenance to keep it working well. For this, you'll need to rinse out the dirty water tank occasionally to avoid it from clogging. You will also need to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to avoid them getting blocked by dirt or dust. Overall the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other combos that require more hands-on maintenance.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs All-in-one robot auto vacuum and mop and mop is an effective solution for cleaning. Its robot autonomous vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction and offers a number of innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that eliminates obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot vacuum that vacuums and mops are impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it, rather than just dragging a pad across the surface. The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with strong suction that easily picks up most debris and even the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also quite good, though it could get stuck on small mats and rugs around my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Its mopping is quite impressive, and comes with a pair of spinning mops that actually lift and scrub floors instead of simply dragging the pad over it. The mops are also cleaned with hot water and dried in the basestation when required. The mops can also be refilled at the top of the station if they are required.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was released earlier this year. But their latest flagship model has even more impressive features. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-off maintenance making it a top contender on our top robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush will give you a thorough, customised clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up fine and large debris from both hard floors and carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests efficiently, avoiding pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that is placed along baseboards.

Its navigation is nimble, navigating tight spaces and negotiating the stairs without a hitch. It can easily move from one room to another without having to reverse direction it is a useful feature for larger homes with many rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than the ones of other competitors and leaves a large space over obstacles. This could lead to missing spots.

The interface of the app is easy to use and well-organized. It should be simple to use for both novices and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also alter suction power, mop setting as well as view 3-D and 2D maps. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. However, you will need a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to operate it through the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 Pro

A robot vacuum can do a fantastic job of removing dirt and debris, but it can't always reach every last particle of dust. It's essential to clean your home regularly, once a week. This is particularly important for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot designed to accomplish exactly that. It is easy to connect to your WiFI network at home and it works with Alexa or Apple Siri.

The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, such as the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but cuts down on cost by removing mopping and using a less expensive plastic body.

Although it's no longer able to mop floors, the Q5 offers the best automatic vacuum and mop vacuum and mopping performance we've seen from a robotic at this price. It has a suction power of 5500Pa, and an automatic empty system that means you don't have to empty the bin manually each time. It also features a smart application that lets you choose your floor's type and schedule cleanings, and an automatic water tank refill and wash system for hands-free operation.

The mops are also quite impressive with 2700Pa of power that can tackle dirt, dust, and pet hair on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is among the few robots we test that didn't have trouble with high-pile carpets and area carpets, but it didn't pick up cables or kitty litter, which is no surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also has a unique mapping system that helps it reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums can't. This device also stores dust in a bigger dustbin which means you have empty it less frequently. It also has washable filters, which reduces the cost. The robot can recognize carpets, and increase suction when needed. You can also mark areas you want the robot to avoid using the app.
