There are two types of double buggy with
Small 3 wheel stroller wheels, depending on the number of children you'll be carrying: side by side and front-facing. This is the slimmest side-by-side buggy on the market and can fit into narrow doors!
Tandem buggies, on other hand, are often larger. They begin as a single stroller and can be adjusted by adapters to accommodate a second seat, or carrycot. Some tandem buggies can take twins or a toddler and baby or a child with a newborn due to their innovative seating arrangements. One example is the UPPAbaby Vista 2 which can be transformed into a triple with the addition of the optional "Piggy Back" board.

Manoeuvrability
In general Double buggy
3 wheel baby buggy wheels are more easy to handle and manoeuvre than double pushchairs with 4 wheels. The front wheels are smaller and less broad which results in less weight. They are easier to push and are also much easier to maneuver up and down kerbs.
Mountain Buggy Duet is a excellent illustration. It is the tiniest side-by-side buggy on the market, and has a footprint the same as one buggy. This makes it ideal for parents who are worried about fitting through doors or in public transport. Plus, the fact that it can also accommodate twins or two carrycots/car seats means it can be used from the beginning of time.
Another option is the UPPAbaby Vista 2. It's a light buggy that's perfect for city life, but also able to ride on rough or uneven terrain. It is suitable for twins or toddlers and babies due to its large rear wheels and four-wheel suspension. Its light frame means it can be lifted and moved easily. The only downside is that it's a little more difficult to maneuver than other models when walking on uneven ground.
Comfort
If you plan to use your buggy for long walks or for jogging it's worth investing in a model that is able to take on rough terrain. Find a model that has three wheels with large rear wheels that can take the bumps and a suspension system to absorb shocks. Ideally, the front wheels should be mounted to give you more control over difficult terrain, and allow you to easily push around corners.
Double buggys that are good for two children will allow you to adjust the seats so that both children will be comfortable. The best models have reclining seats and adjustable footrests that can be adjusted for older children. You'll have plenty of space to store your items phones, keys, and even keys.
Another thing to look out for is a simple fold mechanism. Our Lab experts prefer models with straps underneath the seats that pull the buggy apart or a lever that can open a catch that folds the frame in half, which takes only a few seconds or so. Some models can fold with the seat removed which makes them smaller when not in use.
The Mountain Buggy Duet is an award-winning side-byside that provides the best flexibility for twins or siblings. Its clever frame expands in width to accommodate a second seat or carrycot yet still has the same footprint as a single stroller. This means it can fit through doors and on public transport. It's heavier than other models but its smooth and comfortable ride compensates for the extra weight.
iCandy's Orange Convertible is another popular side-by-side model that has 30 seating options to meet any need. It's a great option for twins as the seats can be positioned to face the parents and can be converted into an iCandy tandem pushchair.
The Joie Evalite Duo, a lightweight 3-wheel option, is suitable for everyday use. It's not nearly more expensive than other models, however its tiny turning radius and fixed front wheel mean it's more difficult to maneuver up and down kerbs. It's easy to push and can be used to running buggy by adding a separate child carriage.
