Robot vacuums and mop are becoming more capable. They pass our tests on cleaning and can take care of a variety of flooring. Find models that allow you to select between several modes, utilize their charging docks to self-empty, and clean up stairs.
Many of the
best robot vacuum and mop models integrate with your smartphone. Look for an application that lets you save schedules, maps and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate and creates maps of floors and rooms.
When I tried the S1 It was quick to locate our downstairs, which is home to Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, along with carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was able to drive right up to walls without hitting them and even managed to traverse thresholds for rooms that are raised without problem, but it sometimes had trouble navigating down the stairs in one step. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it reached carpets or rugs.
After every mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank can hold enough water for around twelve cleaning sessions before needing to be emptied, though it will differ based on how much you use the mop.
The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. For this, you'll need to wash the dirty water tank occasionally to prevent it from clogging. It is also necessary to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-1 robot mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a powerful option for cleaning needs. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction and offers numerous innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that avoids obstructions and cleans furniture. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it, rather than just drag a pad across a surface. Mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station when required.
This robot combo is easy to install and use, with a simple interface that walks you through the process. It also includes a hand vacuum which can be used to clean hard-to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are also two water tanks that are automatically emptied or filled. It also has a range of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a great vacuum cleaner. It has a strong suction that can easily remove dirt and other debris that other robots have trouble with. Its navigation capabilities are robust, however it does sometimes get hung up on the small rug or area mats I have in my house (which is something you can mitigate by creating a virtual boundary within the application). Its mopping is quite
good robot vacuum as well, with a pair of spinning mops that actually lift and scrub the floors, instead of simply dragging the pad over it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as required. Mops can also be replenished at the top of the station when they are required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results and is easy to maintain. This makes it a contender for our top list of mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush ensure an effective, customized cleaning is achieved.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, removing both fine and large debris. It works equally well on hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our tests' dirtiest areas well, avoiding tangled pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by a side brush that moves out to tackle difficult-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.
Its navigation is smart, navigating narrow spaces and climbing the stairs without a hitch. It can move from one room to another without reversing direction, which is a handy feature for larger homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is not as advanced than the ones of other competitors and leaves a large margin over obstacles. This can result in missed spots.
Its app has a streamlined user interface that is designed to be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleaning tasks. You can also adjust the suction power, mop settings, and view 3-D and 2D maps. It can be operated through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri and allows you to monitor its progress from anywhere. You can even remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You will require a reliable WiFi connection to run the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
Robot vacuums are great at picking up dirt and debris but they're not able to get every bit of dust. It is important to clean regularly, once a week. This is especially important for dust that collects in corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1
best robot vacuum that both vacuums and mops, is designed to do exactly that. It is easy to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network and works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the company's more pricier S-series models, including the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensor, but cuts down on cost by removing mopping and using a lower-cost plastic body.
The Q5 remains one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping machines we've ever seen in this price range even though it's not able to wipe your floor. It has a suction power of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system that means you don't have to empty the bin by hand each time. It also comes with a smart app that lets you set the type of floor and schedule cleanings, and an automatic water tank refill and wash system that allows hands-free operation.
The mops are also quite impressive, with 2700Pa of power to tackle dirt, dust and pet hair on both hard floors and carpets. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't show any issues with high-pile carpets or area rugs, but it couldn't pick up cables or kitty litter that's not a surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest
robot vacuum cleaners best vacuums we have tested, it also utilizes a unique system to map your home. This will allow it to enter places that other vacuums are unable to reach. It also is able to collect more dust in the bin, which means you don't have to empty it as frequently. It also has washable filters which further reduces the cost of using the device. The robot is able to detect carpets and increase suction if needed. The app also allows you to mark areas you want to stay clear of, which is a nice feature.
