The XL Air is a really impressive car and it's easy to understand why it has been awarded so many praises from its customers. It's extremely light-weight with the chassis and wheels weigh just 6.5kg. It is extremely easy to put together. I was able get it up and running in under five minutes - which is amazing considering that it included the ability to attach fabric to the carrycot.

It has a nice wide, comfortable seat that is comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months) and the recline lever is easy to operate. The basket has plenty of space and I find it nice that the handle bar features a pocket to keep your phone and keys secure.

The handlebar is low, which can be an issue for parents who are taller. However, it's coated in a gorgeous leather-like material that's soft and comfy and wipes down easily, making it still easy to push with children and bags on your hands!

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for active parents who are eager to go out and explore. Its large pneumatic wheels are designed to be used on forest and field trails and the front 3 wheel jogger stroller can be rotated and locked for extra versatility. It also has a padded 5-point safety harness and front bar to ensure your child is safe throughout your journey and the parking brake is able to stop the stroller from moving even when you are taking a break. The comfortable seat is easy to adjust down to a comfortable lying position, and the canopy can be opened to allow netting for optimum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be height-adjusted by more than 30 centimeters to accommodate mum or dad's heights.

Whether you're going for an easy jog or a longer hike, the Runner will be there to accompany you on your journeys with a reclining, fully-flat seat and suspension air wheels that guarantee a bump-free ride. The front wheel can be locked to provide greater stability on narrow streets or crowded sidewalks. The stroller can also be folded up to fit in car boot spaces and storage areas.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to navigate for some parents than its predecessor. Also, the locking system (requiring two buttons either on either side of the handlebar) is less user-friendly. It's the most recent and most expensive version of their bargain light stroller line. It, like the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo, is car seat adaptable which means you can use it from birth (the carrycot folds away).

The new Pace features some stunning design features, including the rose gold tint of the chassis, hood and stroller trims that really set it apart from its rivals. The car seat and stroller fabrics are stylish in tan, grey and cream. You can also add handles made of leather and a bumper bar to complement.

It's suitable from birth to a max weight of 22kg and the stroller seat can easily be converted from the carrycot into the 2-in-1 reversible mode. It can be parent-facing or world-facing. The stroller seat offers multiple lie-back positions, comfortable padded leg rests and an extendable sun canopy with hidden zip sections, a transparent flaps, and an retractable sun visor.

When folded it's Pace measures 56 32 x 43 cm which means it passes for hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair among other airlines. Two buttons on either side are easy use and can be clicked to lock it in the right position.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate, all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis features a shorter 3 wheel umbrella stroller width which makes it easier to maneuver than its predecessor. I tried it out with my two kids - an eight-week-old and a toddler - on rocky roads along with grassy wooded trails and even cobblestones.

The large puncture-proof wheels - 22cm or 30cm in size are able to handle a variety of terrains. The wheels have an opening that can be opened or closed to let more air in when required. It's a little larger than most pushchairs, yet doesn't feel heavy or bulky when you're pushing it over bumpy surfaces.

The seat fabric is machine washable and the frame and faux leather grips are easy to wipe down. It is also quieter than other pushchairs and I felt comfortable in the city streets. A bonus feature is that it has integrated accessory points, meaning you can add footmuffs parasols, changing bags and even a tray for snacks. You can also use the hood to block rain and wind, but it's not waterproof. The single pram can be fitted with the Comfort Wheeled Board (not included), which gives your child more leg room. It took about 20 minutes to set up the bassinet, and a similar amount of time to transform it into the seat.
