best robot cleaner Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
Robotic vacuum cleaners and mops are the most efficient way to quickly clean up messes. The top robot vacuums and mops I tested had great mapping and navigation. They sucked up Cheerios and fake dog turds, well as tangled wires.
They're also easy to use with an app that lets you plan cleaning tasks and see what they're doing.
1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
If you're searching for the most effective robot vacuum and mop combo that has cutting-edge features you should take a look at the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This high-end model is incredibly swift and agile, picking up debris like pet hair and human hair with a near perfect accuracy in our Debris Pickup Test. It also features a sleek interface that includes a mini map of your home and some on-screen buttons to allow manual control.
The S8's Dirt Detection Technology enables it to adjust the cleaning mode based on the amount of dirt. It will pause and clean its mopping pad more often when it encounters dust while prioritizing carpeted areas for mopping with a damp pad.
It comes with a range of other smart features too, including an alternative dock that connects to the plumbing in your home to clean and wash the mop roller without needing you to refill it manually. You can also use voice commands with the S8's built-in voice assistant that can be activated by saying "Hey Rocky" to specify rooms cleaning, modes and granular controls using just your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those seeking an automated robot vacuum that is hands-free that also has mopping capabilities. It's part of a litany of combo robot vacuums with mops, but comes at a lower cost than many of the competitors.
Like many robovacs Yeedi Cube requires a little bit of work to get started, including creating an account on the official app of the manufacturer and connecting it to your WiFi network. Once that's done the
robot vacuums best can begin vacuuming and mopping with ease.
It is important to note that mapping takes some time and may take a few tries before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate picture of your space. The object detection is also an issue that is hit-and-miss. It was able to skirt around furniture and other obstacles, but it was stuck on a rug with tassels, and had to flip over to get it out of the way. These aren't major issues and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those in need of an appliance that can do it all.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a home cleaning solution. Its mopping technology is advanced and features an inclination that is similar to hand scrubbing which results in floors that are truly cleaned, not just being swept. And its detachable stick vacuum is a game changer that enables you to reach areas that robotic vacuums aren't able to reach.
This model is basically the same as the popular X2 Omni, but with a slightly higher suction power of 8700Pa and other intelligent features. The upgraded RGBD sensor is able to learn your home better and offer dynamic obstacles avoidance. The smart app lets you modify a variety of settings, including scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the
robot vacuum cleaners best vacuum and mop return to their charging base at the end of each job to clean their pads, empty the dust bins, and put the debris in bags that self-seal. This helps keep the system clean and also stops allergens from circulating. The battery's life is enough to clean large areas without requiring an additional charge during cleaning.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is a high-end
robot vacuum and mop model that comes with impressive features at an affordable price. It is equipped with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction power and a rotating brush that is ideal for carpets and hard floors and an excellent obstacle avoidance. It also has an innovative mopping technique that utilizes a roller continuously sprayed with water to collect dirt, and then dump it in the water tank.
Its navigation system performed well. It avoided steps and walked close to walls without falling. However, it struggled with finely engrained debris and didn't always get rid of raised thresholds for rooms. Its operating noise level is also relatively high, which suggests it could be a less reliable set-and-forget model than some.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, has a a docking system that allows it to refill its clean water tank, empty the dustbin and dry and wash the mop, and then empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance simple and allows the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors on an ongoing basis. Eufy's app allows you to manage all the functions. It gives clear information and plenty of configuration options.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the top robot mowers available, and offers amazing mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. The LIDAR sensors for mapping can identify furniture legs, obstacles and other obstacles with a reasonable accuracy. The application allows users to adjust the coverage of the map, create no-go zones and customize cleaning preferences. The Freo's roller brush is designed to stop hair from wrapping around it. This is an issue for many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too it comes with Reuleaux triangular mop pads that spin at 180 RPM and exert up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system has smart carpet detectors, which lift the pads up when they are near soft surfaces to keep them from getting contaminated.
The docking station is designed to function as a hands-free maintenance centre which is capable of automatically drying and washing the mops before refilling them with detergent and water. The base station comes with an integrated dust-processing system that compacts dust, allowing seven weeks of maintenance-free operation.
6. S10
A few hundred dollars less than the S8 This robot does an excellent job of keeping my home office spotless and also tackle the corners of my cramped apartment. It makes use of laser mapping and a camera to build an outline of your space and knows which areas to avoid. It has an object/obstacle detector that can block things like dog bowls and toys (but not the poop) unlike other vacuums.
Other great features include a self emptying dustbin and a mop that is self-washing, adjustable to water temperature and a side-reaching brush that can reach areas that other mops cannot reach. You can also adjust the settings for each room and set up cleaning schedules.
Like the S8 It also has multi-room smart mapping, and can differentiate between laminate flooring, carpets and hardwood with high-pile rugs. It can also avoid cleaning rooms that aren't dirty if you're looking to reduce time. It's a great option for those who have a variety of flooring in your home but don't want to spend the money to buy a Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
If you're looking for a flexible robot vacuum and mop that is able to manage regular maintenance and touch-ups on wet messes, this little robot is an excellent option. It offers a broad range of features including self-emptying dustbins and an additional water refill dock, and adjustable settings in the app. It's extremely quiet and easily moves around furniture legs or socks. It's unable to pick up tangled rug tassels up and it drains its battery quicker than other models we've tried.
With a cost of less than $250 it's the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly powerhouse that packs serious suction and useful automation into a sleek. It wasn't as efficient as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests for vacuuming however, it did very well. It comes with a variety of cleaning modes, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet mode which is suitable for small debris to the more powerful "Turbo mode" for carpeted areas. It even has the ability to remove and reconnect its mop pads without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great two-in-one robot vacuum and mop for those who live in cramped areas. It's quiet and quick, and it does a good job of navigating tight spots. It is also very good at removing pet hair from carpeting.
It's smaller than many of its competition however it doesn't compromise features. It has a decent amount of suction power and it's possible to take a photo of every object it picks up (i.e. chew toys, socks, etc.)) and mark them as 'not found in the app, so that they aren't removed during subsequent cleanings. Its photos are encrypted and not connected to your account.
It is capable of vaccuming, however it isn't as good at mopping. It makes use of disposable wipes that are clipped to the bot's bottom, and then drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal which have water reservoirs, and automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
