Inline Lever/Lever

A lever handle is a modern door handle that is designed to fit new or replacement doors. This type of handle is available in many styles and finishes. A variety of manufacturers provide this type of handle, including Avocet ERA, Fullex, Hoppe, Mila, Millenco & Yale.

The door handles of uPVC/Composite are made of sturdy materials and are ideal for doors with multi-point locks that require a heavy duty design. The handles are inline and run from the same spindle and screw fixings, so they can be easily incorporated into doors made of uPVC/Composite, either new or old.

The handle can be positioned and angled to fit any user. The handle has been tested for endurance up to 200,000 cycles, this helps to ensure the quality of the finish and performance of the handle over time. The lever that springs is adjustable to fit a wide range of locks. This is particularly useful for narrower door frames where the cylinder is located further back. A lever that is shorter is an excellent option for doors where the latch could be opened by a thumb turn on the inside.

Lever Pad

A Lever Pad upvc door handle operates differently to the lever type handles on doors. These handles are operated by one spindle or two spindles, either inline or offset. They are generally employed on UPVC double-glazed doors and come in a variety of styles and finishes.

The handles are available in a variety of finishes, including White Chrome and Gold. The finish meets BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 and is also resistant to corrosion, giving the handle a high degree of durability and performance for its intended use.

All of the UPVC handle lever pad styles come with a spindle and screws which allow them to be put on an existing or new uPVC door. Euro cylinders are available with up to six pins. Internal and external doors require different levels of security.

The choice of the correct cylinder is crucial; it depends on the way your door and handle are used. External doors, for example are required to be fitted with higher security cylinders, whereas doors inside can be secured with an ordinary cylinder. Some cylinders have extra features that can improve security, for instance, anti drill or anti bump properties.

A euro cylinder must be measured correctly to ensure it is the correct size for your door. The cylinder should be measured from the central fixing screw hole to the end of the cylinder and the thumb turn if you have one. It is recommended to do this while the lock is in place, but if this is not possible, you may take it off to measure. A cylinder that extends beyond the handle and escutcheon could be vulnerable to attacks, such as snapping locks, therefore it is essential to make sure it's not too long.

The design of the latest cylinders comes with anti-drilling as well as bump resistance features. These are designed to reduce attacks by forcing cylinders to rotate in a new direction. This can help deflect the attack and ensure your doors are secure.

Certain cylinders are made to resist snapping. This is a growing type of attack on cylinders, which is where the break line of the lock is smashed by a tool that is specially designed to snap off the front of the cylinder to allow the door to open. Spring Cassette

It also stops your door from getting stuck in the open or closed position as they are difficult to close manually.

These spring cassettes were designed to be used with a sprung multipoint locks. They will not fit handles that are not sprung and you'll need to cut a hole in the backplate to allow them to fit. (Please see the image for a detailed diagram). These cassettes are a solution for damaged or missing cassettes that are in the backplate of uPVC door handles. They are supplied in one unit. They come with a square cut out that accommodates an 8mm shaft.
