What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader is an additional widget at the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. The Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no gameplay benefit other than making it easier to purchase upgrades.

Boosters

The number of upgrades you perform will determine the amount of extras you receive. Each upgrade will increase the number of extras by up to 3 points. Each upgrade will also increase the main stats by +1.

In addition to the stat increase, some upgrades will also give a random secondary boost. These secondary boosts are extremely beneficial and should be taken into consideration when choosing which items to upgrade. Some boosts are beneficial in certain builds (such Whistan's shield, for FB sorcs) while others could provide significant value to specific collectors.

Some items have an inherent boos that are less effective when upgraded, like the Goldwrap which provides extra potion slots. These are often upp'd to inject more value into a perfect or near-perfect item.

Costs

Upgrades have some associated costs. The most significant cost is the upgrade itself. This price is contingent on the new level of the item and the number of perks it will gain, and can be expensive. It can also be expensive to upgrade an item to a higher tier (such as Explorer > Champion or Veteran > Heroic).

The second is the price of the items required for an upgrade. The items used are usually either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and over) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing certain Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). Success Rate

The basis for upgrading items is an opportunity, and like every random system, there's the possibility that the upgrade won't be successful. However, there are some things that can increase the chance of success. This includes using an item dubbed an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of additional items to the upgrade.

An Upgrade Pity is an item that you can purchase from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the chance of an upgrade being successful by a certain percentage. It's similar to the "luck bonus" that some items offer however it is more reliable. It can be added to any weapon or armor and can be used three times.

It is also possible to add a range of additional elements to the upgrade, which increases its chance of success. These are shown in a window that is above the + button. However, there are limitations to this, and the highest amount of material that can be added is displayed just above the + button in the user interface.

A Blacksmith Blessing, or an upgraded version thereof, can be used to boost the odds of an upgrade items succeeding. This item can be helpful in the event that your item or weapon is close to or has reached the highest level of its level. It will let you upgrade that piece of gear to the next level without worrying about it breaking.
