Boosters
There are a variety of boosts you can get with an upgrader. These could include stats, as well as bonus bonuses. These bonuses can be applied to weapons or armor, as well trinkets. They can be used to improve the abilities of a character, or they can be added as an element of variety to an existing build.

When an item is improved, its base type will change. Upgrades to a normal
item upgrades result in an Exceptional version, whereas upgrades to an Exceptional model create an Elite. The item will be able to keep all of its pre-upgrade statistics, but will also gain an additional bonus due to its new base type. The bonus will be randomly chosen from the following categories: the chance to acquire a weapon with an increased damage range, a chance to obtain an improved reload speed, or a chance to acquire a higher max defense roll.
The number of upgrades you make will determine the amount of extras you will receive. Each upgrade will increase the number of extras by three points maximum. In addition, each upgrade will also increase the stat that is used to determine the main one by 1.
Some upgrades also give you a secondary random boost in addition to stat enhancements. These boosts can be quite valuable and should be considered when deciding on which items to upgrade. Some of these boosts can only be used in certain designs (such a Whistan's Shield for FB Sorcs) Some are valuable to collectors.
Certain items come with inherent boos that are less useful when upgraded, for example the Goldwrap that gives you more slots for potion. They are often upgraded to add more value to a nearly perfect item.
Costs
There are a few costs related to upgrades of items. The first is the upgrade itself. It can be costly and is dependent on the new value of the item and the number perks it gains. Upgrades to higher levels (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) are costly.
The other is the cost of items needed to upgrade. The items used are typically either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and up) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). The quantity of these items needed can be found in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.
Upgrades to an item are an intricate process that takes time. It can take 8 hours depending on the size of the upgrade. The upgraded
item upgrading's base stats are calculated based on the new ilvl of the item, perks, and other properties. This calculation determines the new Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other important statistics. In some instances upgrades can provide additional perks. These perks are available in a list.
In rare cases, the upgrade will only replace the most expensive perks. Occasionally, the upgrader will make other adjustments to an item, like changing its weapon damage type or removing or adding an unwieldy or operational property. The cost of these changes is determined by the item's new ilvl, and may require a specific material like the adamantine alloy.
Success Rate
