Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is an item that makes certain Pokemon change. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's photo disc and can be offered as a reward in Pokemon GO events.

The Upgrade can also be found in armor, weapons trinkets, and gathering tools to increase the level of their Best item upgrader. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests depending on the type of item.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be inserted into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools to provide bonus effects or attribute bonuses while the equipment is being used. The item being upgraded must have an available upgrade slot that can accept the component, and the majority of upgrade components require the item being upgraded to be at an amount. Certain upgrade items also come with special visual effects when applied to an item. Upgrade components can be obtained through crafting, bought from Karma merchants, or traded with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be rescued from equipment and received as rewards.

Various upgrade components are available, each providing various bonuses. Universal upgrades, which include gems and inscriptions, are able to be used on any kind of equipment. They also offer smaller bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions can be used on legendary and non-amulet items, while enhancements can be used on some back equipment that is ascended. Slotting in an upgrade component will cause the destruction of the previous upgrade. The exceptions are glyphs (which can only be used in gathering tools) and enchantments, which can be removed and then reinserted.

Insignias Enchantments, insignias, and prefix/suffix upgrades will be displayed in the hover display of the item, while they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. an Radiant Insignia will change the name into Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrades that are added to an item will be displayed in the item upgrades's tooltip.

Glyphs

Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, like ligatures and ornaments, fractions, swashes registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs Panel lets you insert and examine these special characters, along with regular symbols like em and en dashes as in trademark symbols registered to be used.

Each Glyph gives a character boost in primary stats. The glyph could also be equipped with up to four secondary stats that alter the radius of your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a %-increase that is multiplied after other bonuses are applied except for Speed Glyphs which directly increase the speed of the hero.

The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them, and then clicking the "enchant" button. This will open a window that shows the Glyphs that are available to you. Note that only the right type of Glyph can be applied to the selected item upgrader kit and every weapon, jewelry or armor piece may have distinct sets of Glyphs.

Glyphs can be leveled up through the use of Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more difficult a area is, the greater Glyph experience you will gain. Once a Glyph attains level 15 and is upgraded, it is upgradeable at the Glyph Upgrade Altar. Upgrading a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.

After a Glyph reaches the desired level, you can activate it. Select it and click the "enchant button". The resulting glyph will give the stated bonus and also boost the other nodes that are within its range on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should be placed where they will benefit your build the most. This is why you should consider Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Rare glyphs may also offer double bonus if certain conditions can be met.

If you're having difficulty finding a particular glyph click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a variety of perspectives. Each of these views displays the Glyphs in a different font. You can reduce the number of glyphs by choosing an option under "Entire Font". For instance, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limit the options to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling is a method in which you create a brand new account to give yourself more chances to play an item or character you are interested in. This can aid in your progress to higher levels or to obtain better loot, such as an improved weapon for your character. Many players reroll until the character they desire is available, regardless of its strength. This could be due to the fact that they like the character's design or personality.

You must ensure that you make clean changes every time you restart. You should verify locally if the patch passes pre-commit and run a Core dev check. The patch should be uploaded with a clear difference to a problem (see What is an interdiff?) ).

Rerolls could take days or weeks to complete, depending on your luck. To save time avoid enemy camps that are not required during this period. Additionally it is recommended to not repeat any quests that can be completed later in the game. This can save you time and energy.

Another important consideration when rerolling is to be sure you are aware of the upgrade system. There are many ways to boost your character's strength and appearance. Upgrades, rerolling characters and upgrading weapons are all options. It is also crucial to know the limitations of the system.

Rerolling may not be a necessity however it can be an effective way to increase your chances of getting a certain character or weapon. You can use it to determine which character is the Best item upgrader or to experiment with different styles of play and builds.

Sets

A set is a group of objects that share common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen or the members of a class). Sets can be used for operations like intersection, union and difference.

When you upgrade an item, it transforms into an upgraded version that is superior to the previous version. This means that armor and weapons will have a higher defense and lower requirements for strength.

Upgrading can be a great way to bring popular single-set items into level with their higher-tiered set counterparts. Upgrades such as Guillaume's Face Helm to Elite Spired helmet can increase the defense from 217 to 321 and reduce the strength requirements and levels to an acceptable range.

It's important to remember that not all items in an assortment can be upgraded. Certain sets, like the FB Sorc Whistan's shield and Naj's puzzler staff are already exceptional in their own right and don't require any upgrades. On the other hand, some items that are BiS and are used frequently (like Goldwrap) may benefit from being upgraded to increase their performance. It could be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
