Boosters
With an upgrader for your item, you can get a number of bonuses. These can include stats as well as additional bonuses. These bonuses can be utilized on weapons, armor and trinkets. They can be used to enhance the capabilities of the character, or can add an additional element of variety to the build.
The upgrade system in World of Warcraft allows players to increase the quality of their equipment by spending currencies at an
item upgrader mod upgrader NPC. This system first came into play in Mists of Pandaria, and continued with Warlords of Draenor. It is a convenient method to boost the level of your equipment, allowing you to bypass the monotonous grind of questing and avoiding a bunch of wipes in Mythicand dungeons.
When an item is upgraded its base type changes. Upgrades to a normal item result in an Exceptional variant, while upgrades to an Exceptional version create an Elite. The item will keep its previous upgrade stats, but will gain an extra bonus of its new base type. The bonus is randomly chosen. It could be a weapon that has more damage range, an improved speed of reloading, or an increased max defense roll.
The amount of extras that you gain with an upgrade depends on the amount of upgrades completed. Each upgrade will increase the corresponding extras by an increment of 1 up to a maximum of 3. Additionally, every upgrade will also increase the stat that is used to determine the main one by +1.
Some upgrades also give you an additional random boost in addition to stat enhancements. These boosts are important and should be considered when deciding which items to upgrade. Some of these boosts can only be used in specific designs (such the Whistan's Shield in FB Sorcs), while others are useful to collectors.
Some items have an inherent boo, which is not beneficial when upgraded, such as the Goldwrap which provides more slots for potion. These are usually upgraded to add more value to a near-perfect or perfect item.
Costs
There are some costs related to upgrades of items. The first is the cost for the upgrade. This price is contingent on the new level of the item and the number of perks it receives, and can be expensive. It can also be expensive to upgrade an item to a better tier (such as Explorer > Champion or Veteran > Heroic).
The second is the cost of the items required for an upgrade. These items are usually Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons or specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor Quests. The quantity of these items required can be seen in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.
It takes time to upgrade an item. Depending on the size of the upgrade, it could take as long as 8 hours. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated using the new ilvl of the item bonuses, perks, and other properties. This calculation determines the latest Armor Class bonus, damage dice, as well as other important statistics. In some instances, the upgrade will grant additional perks that can be selected from a list of available advantages.
In rare cases the upgrade will only replace the highest-costing perks. The upgrader may also make other changes to the item, like changing the type of damage it deals to its weapon, or adding or removing an operative or unwieldy function. The cost for these changes is based on the new ilvl of the item, and it may require a special material like an adamantine alloy.
Success Rate
Upgrades to items are based on the chance of success, and as with any random system there is an opportunity that the upgrade will fail. However, there are some things that can help to increase the chances of success. This includes the use of an Upgrade Pity or adding additional materials to your upgrade.
The Upgrade Pity can be bought from the NPC for the smithing process in Lost Ark. It increases the odds of an upgrade being successful by some percentage. This is similar to the luck bonus that certain items offer but is more reliable. It can be added to any armor or weapon and is able to be used up to three times.
You can also add additional components to the upgrade to increase its chances of success. They are displayed in a window that is above the + button. There are however limitations to this, and the maximum amount of material that can be added is displayed just above the + button in the UI.
Another method to increase the chances of an upgrade achieving success is to use the item known as Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item is useful in the event that you have an item or weapon gear that has reached the highest level for its tier, or is close to it. It allows you to upgrade that piece of equipment to the next level without risking breaking.
If an upgrade is unsuccessful it will be restored to its initial state. This is usually an error, but it could also be an upgrade. Keep an upgrade in reserve until you reach the maximum level of an item.
Kafra has a range of items that can be utilized in order to increase the chances of a successful upgrade. For example upgrading an equipment using HD Oridecon or HD Elunium multiple times will give you an increased chance of success. In the same way, increasing the likelihood to receive a Double Mint from Shoe-Minting a maximum of five times will also improve the chances of success.
Failure Rate
The upgrader for items allows players to add an additional slot in their equipment. These slots can be used to apply an enchantment or upgrade an item. It is important to remember that not all items can be upgraded. The enchantment and upgrade rate is based on the
item upgrade's rank. The higher the rank of the item is, the more Zeny items will be required to upgrade it.
This kind of system can be expensive, particularly for top-of-the-line equipment. Upgrades to armor and weapons can cost as much as 100,000 z or 100 Carnium. As you progress in rank, the chances of success diminish. You can increase the likelihood of upgrading an item by making use of cash shop items.

The upgrade window will show an indicator of the percentage of your chances of success. The percentage is based on the upgrade level and core nature of the item you have selected.
You can also select an insurance policy that will safeguard your product in the event of failure. The cost of this protection can vary however it will always be less than the cost of buying a new item. The protection is only available once each upgrade, and it will not expire until it is re-used.
The interface for the item upgrader can be a bit difficult, but it's isn't impossible to navigate. The main menu is displayed on the left, and the upgrade window is displayed on the right. The arrows to the left side of the UI represent the different stages of the upgrade process. If you're not certain what you're doing, hit the question mark for assistance. The upgrade can take up five minutes.
