What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

Some upgrades also give you additional random boosts in addition to stat enhancements. These boosts can be useful and should be taken into consideration when deciding what items to upgrade. Some of these boosts can only be used in specific builds (such a Whistan's Shield for FB Sorcs), while others are beneficial to collectors.

Some items have a built-in boos that is not effective when upgraded. For example the Goldwrap offers an additional potion slots. These are often upgraded to add value to a nearly perfect item.

Costs

Upgrades come with a few associated costs. The first is the cost of performing the upgrade. The cost is based on the new level of the item and the number of perks it will gain and is often expensive. Upgrades to a higher level (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) can be expensive.

The other is the cost of the materials required to upgrade. These items are typically Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons, or specific Mists Of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor Quests. These items can be found in the inventory of an Upgrade Vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. Depending on the size of the upgrade, it can take up to 8 hours. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated by using the item's new ilvl bonus, perks, as well as other properties. This calculation determines the latest Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other important statistics. In some instances, an upgrade can grant additional perks. These perks are available on a list.

Rarely, the new benefits gained will cost more than one perk slot In these instances the upgrade will replace the perks with the highest cost. Success Rate

The upgrading of an item is based on chance. Like any random system there is a chance that it will not succeed. However there are some things that can increase the odds of success. This includes the use of an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of extra materials to your upgrade.

An Upgrade Pity is an item you can buy from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the odds of an upgrade's success by an amount. This is similar to the luck bonus some items have, but is more stable. It can be added to any weapon or armor and can be used three times.

You can also add other materials to the upgrade to increase the chances of success. They are displayed in a window above the + button. However, there are limitations to this, and the highest amount of material that can be added is shown directly above the + button in the UI.

Another method to increase the odds of an upgrade succeeding is to use an item known as the Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item is useful when you own an item of gear that has reached the maximum level for its tier, or is close to it. It will allow you to upgrade that piece of equipment to the next level without risking it breaking.

If an upgrade fails the system will be restored to its initial state. This is typically an upgrade, but it could also be an upgrade. It is a good idea to save upgrades for when you're close to the maximum level of an item, and use it as an emergency.

There are a variety of items available in the Kafra shop that can be used to improve the chances of a successful upgrade.
