World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

The upgrading of your items is a vital aspect of equipping your character. Upgrades increase the base damage and enchantments of items.

They also provide bonuses and improvements. The Blacksmith can sell them to you.

Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Each Best item upgrade recycled adds a level to the gauge of upgrade.

Weapons

If a weapon is upgraded, it will gain a base damage bonus and an adjustment factor that affects other stats. Certain upgrade components come with cosmetic effects and others provide additional attributes. These upgrades can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, gathering tools and trinkets. When the weapon reaches its maximum level of improvement and is then reforged to add different effects and bonuses or to boost specific stats. These upgrades can all be used simultaneously and the effects vary depending on how rare the weapon is.

There are two Blacksmiths in the game that can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area and Smithing Master Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons, and Somber Smithing Stones for modifying the damage a weapon deals.

It is generally recommended to upgrade weapon damage first, followed by armor defense, and finally the other secondary stats as required by your build. It is not uncommon to see melee Druids upgrade their weapon before upgrading other gear. This can help increase DPS. This is especially true for enchantments, which can be extremely effective in boosting a weapon's damage and other stats.

Armor

Certain upgrades offer special abilities which can be activated when wearing armor. These abilities can be helpful in combat, for instance providing a boost to attack speed or blocking. Some upgrades also provide useful passive effects, such as decreasing the amount of damage that is taken while wearing armor or granting a chance to dodge attacks.

Upgrades to armor could require several attempts, depending on the type. For example for instance, if a player wants to upgrade a Steelclash armor to Dragonscale, the first attempt will result in a brand new piece of Dragonscale with the base defense of the ages of 59-67. The second attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor with a base defense between 67-77, and the list goes on.

Trinket

If you find a trinket that needs to be upgraded then place it in the Anvil to upgrade it. This will have an effect on the trinket that is random, either increasing or strengthening its effects. You can reuse the Trinket as many times as you want however it will always have a new effect.

You can also enhance your Trinkets by placing them in a Magical Catalyst at the Alchemy Station. This will cost you 6 energy, however it will increase the power of the trinket by a tiny amount.
