EV Star
GreenPower Motor Company builds purpose-built fully
green power electric mobility scooter heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles for the delivery and cargo markets including shuttle and transit spaces, as well as school buses. Its proprietary EV Star Cab & Chassis enables multiple upgrades or bodies and sets the standard for emission-free goods and people transportation. GreenPower also provides low-floor electric buses for transit agencies, including 30ft EV250, 40ft EV350 and a double-decker EV550.
The firm's fleet of buses comprises six different models that share about 95% of their components. They can offer them at less than traditional vehicles. This is particularly important since government subsidies are decreasing.
The EV Star Cargo Van is the most recent addition to GreenPower's fleet, and it's designed specifically for last mile delivery purposes. It has an incredibly flexible design, and can be easily customized. It is also equipped with a range of accessories to enhance the functionality.
Its modular interior can accommodate different configurations and
powered mobility Scooter body types and also includes the full suite of driver assistance systems. In terms of charging, it can be charged via AC level 2 in 8 hours at 11 kW or DC fast charge in 2 hours at 61 5 kW. The vehicle also has a vented HVAC as well as ADA securement.
GreenPower's EV Star Passenger Van is the benchmark for performance, safety and sustainability in the passenger transportation space. It is built on the EV Star Cab & Chassis, and can be configured with a variety of upfits or body configurations to accommodate different operations. Seating capacities range between 20 and 50 passengers. Its Altoona test score of 92.2 is the top in class, and it offers ADA accessibility options.
As the demand for electric vehicles continues to rise, GreenPower is looking at ways to expand its production capacity. GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to incorporate Level 5 autonomy into the EV Star. This will be the first vehicle with this capability. Contrary to most autonomous vehicles in use today that are upgraded or converted GreenPower's EV Star was created with autonomy in mind from the start. Its design is a clean base, which makes it easier to integrate future autonomous drive technologies. GreenPower's EV Star is available in diesel and battery electric versions, with the latter offering up to 150 miles of range on a single charge. It also has a large payload capacity to accommodate many different body designs and configurations. It can be customized to suit a wide range of applications, including paratransit, employee shuttles and vanpool services. GreenPower has been producing 10 EV Stars each month and plans to increase production in response to the demand. This will enable it to provide the lowest cost of ownership to customers.
