World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template that ends in % will suffer 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons to give them a stat boost or an extra effect. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment with a slot for them; the item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level for a component to be used. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once and can't be used multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the items that are not ascending back. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the item to which it is used (for examplefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require fewer Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop, or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

The player can have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be available at the time of the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much it will increase after a future reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process may be costly and there is a significant chance that the item could become obsolete or even break when it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that double or even eliminate the chances of failure, and some upgrades that offer a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in various ways, and we recommend getting them to level 15 as soon as possible.

In the endgame you'll often discover that the most effective way to upgrade item your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes much faster.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without any restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed by using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values that can enhance a stat by, and the value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your gear. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that can boost the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

The use of a Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for example should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might be able to place them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items lets players increase the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components in them. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an Best item upgrade requires a different number of components to be reached, and the upgrade items costs increase as the Best item upgrader is upgraded.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrade a piece of equipment it will be replaced with an item that is new. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item comes with its own set bonus. This could be a drawback because it can make the item more expensive if you do not need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do so. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have the level 1 base, and a completely different set of bonus bonuses. This can be beneficial, but shouldn't be done often as it can waste resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like a dolphin). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by 10 points. This item is very useful in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of its unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to increase the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by presenting the appropriate items and currency to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the item, and upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear that can be upgraded up to eight times. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to go to its original condition, which requires the user to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition, the item will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or speed of reload). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that, should a weapon gain an increase in its crit chance the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is computed each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item upgrader kit might have 5 upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items will have an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements than normal equipment. For example, they may need less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Whatever the case, players will need to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each upgrade requires an individual amount of ingredients needed to upgrade.
